Summary: In the heart of the Ganges Delta, few people venture into the Islands of Silence.
Terrified by man-eating tigers, crocodiles and cobras, the forgotten people of the Sundarbans archipelago survive there. With shrimps, rice and wild honey for all resources, they face malaria, tuberculosis, cyclones, wild animals and indifference.
Revolted by their miserable condition, one of them, Mohammed Abdul Wohab, gave up everything to help these left-behind, with the support of the writer Dominique Lapierre, he organized a flotilla of 4 Hospital Boats who tirelessly ply the waters of the delta to treat the most suffering.
