Summary: Man has always dreamed of building a better world, of inventing another way of living through which he could free himself from racism, religion, politics, pollution, and especially 'silver.
But are there still men who believe in this impossible dream?

The answer can be found in Auroville, in south-eastern India. Founded by Mira Alfassa, known as "the Mother", companion of the yogi Sri Aurobindo, near Pondicherry, Auroville is a dream space where the goal is "to achieve Human Unity". It is here that men and women from all over the world gathered at the end of the 1960s, to try this experience.
Today there are 1,800 Aurovilians, of 40 different nationalities, hoping for the unthinkable, for them, today's utopia is tomorrow's reality. Auroville is an ambitious experiment, a sort of laboratory from which perhaps the ideal city of the future will emerge.
