Michael Douglas and director Oliver Stone have hit Cannes with their new film Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

They waved at fans as they arrived on the famous Croisette for the much-hyped movie's photocall.

Douglas won an Oscar for his role as unscrupulous corporate raider Gordon Gekko in the 1987 original.

In this film, Stone turns his attentions to the big banks.

According to Stone, in the real world Gekko's role was taken on by hedge fund managers and then by investment banks, something he opposes.

They were joined on the red carpet by co-stars Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan, who have been dating since meeting on the set of the movie.
