Ooh la la! Melinda goes French for ad

Melinda Messenger is following in the footsteps of celebrities including Pamela Anderson and Charlotte Church. The former glamour model is the latest star to appear in an advert for Walkers crisps.

The TV presenter and actor Will Mellor dress up as a French maids for the commercial to promote the savoury snack's new limited edition flavours from around the world. Magician Paul Daniels is seen in a karate outfit in a Japanese segment, while Coronation Street legend Julie Goodyear wore a sequin frock and feathered headdress to represent Brazil.

Melinda thinks she got lucky with her costume. "I was quite chuffed with ours. I'm not sure Will felt the same," she said.

"He was in high heels and I did have to train him to walk in them. He did then seem very comfortable with it. He has the best legs you've ever seen. He put mine to shame," she added.

The 39-year-old admits she often indulges in the potato snacks. "I think it's fine as long as you don't overdo it. I probably have a packet of crisps a day. It's all right in moderation," said Melinda.
