Mike Samuels trained as a clinical photographer at the former Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford. His career and experience ranges from photographing specimens, surgical procedures, post mortems and the highly skilled areas of photomicrography and macrophotography. He also did extensive work photographing live patients learnt the importance of good communications with both patients and colleagues and spent years understanding the anatomy and physiology of the human body. He worked closely with clinical disciplines maxillofacial surgery. This included being skilled in photographing both intra and extra oral views for record and planning, working with oral surgeons, dentists and orthodontists. But also dermatology and plastic surgery. Mike is a fully qualified registered Medical Illustration Practitioner.
