Perley Stevens Orchestra - Don't Ever Leave Me (new copy)

This is a reworked video; incorrect sources have been stating reports that Ben Selvin's Band played under the name "Perley Stevens and his Orchestra", when in fact, Perley Stevens on occasion played with Ben Selvin's Band and many others, including Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey Orchestras and Paul Whiteman's Band. Stevens was a bandleader and composer who formed his own band in the mid-20's, and who was active in the Boston area, especially at the Symphony Restaurant. In the 30s he also managed the Roseland State Ballroom in Boston. This excellent recording was made in 1929. The sheet music scans are included courtesy of Mrs. K.
