00:00Principals Long, Distinguished Guests, and Students
00:03Good morning!
00:05Good morning!
00:06It's great to be back at J. Mua High School
00:09Every time I come back, it feels like coming home
00:14After all, this is where I spent some of the best years of my life
00:20And I have to admit, some of my most challenging physics problems here
00:24had nothing to do with the classroom
00:27They involve figuring out how to climb over the school wall
00:31to grab lunch and not get caught
00:36But seriously, it's a real honor to welcome Professor Kitakawa
00:41A Nobel Prize winner in capture to Taipei
00:44Professor, what I find especially inspiring is your belief
00:49In an ancient Chinese idea from Trump's
00:52The usefulness of the useless
00:55I love that idea
00:58Because sometimes the ideas that seem crazy
01:01Or even pointless today
01:03Turn out to be the breakthroughs that change the world tomorrow
01:08And that's exactly what science is all about
01:12Now speaking of changing the world
01:15You may have heard that Envidance building this new headquarters
01:20Right here in Taipei
01:21And our beta shielding technology park
01:25It's an exciting time for our city
01:28But here's what I believe
01:29No matter how powerful AI becomes
01:33It's people who drive innovation
01:35And when I look around this room
01:38I see the next generation of innovators
01:41The people who will shape Taiwan's future
01:45And maybe even change the world
01:47That's why we're investing in you
01:51This July
01:53We launch Taipei's AI education white paper
01:57With a commitment of 9.2 billion entity dollars
02:02Over the next four years
02:04We'll bring AI education into our schools
02:07And expanding STEM learning opportunities
02:10From preschool all the way through high school
02:14Because we want every student to have the chance
02:18To explore, experiment, and discover what they are capable of
02:24And that's also why we are here today
02:27We want Taipei to be a place
02:29Where bright young minds
02:31From around the world come together
02:34Share ideas
02:36Challenge each other
02:37And inspire one another
02:40And who knows
02:41Maybe the next global prize winner
02:44Is sitting right here in this room
02:46So stay curious
02:49Keep asking questions
02:51And never be afraid to try something new
02:53Even if it seems impossible at first
02:57Because the next big breakthrough
03:01Might just start with one of your ideas
03:04Thank you all for being here
03:06Enjoyed the forum
03:08Make some new friends
03:09And have a wonderful time here in Taipei
03:12Thank you
03:13Thank you very much
03:15I've got to hear that
