00:30and you're a very patriotic person.
00:33Yeah, look, I'm not going to discuss or comment on the past.
00:39You know, past is past and hopefully this is a fresh start for the country.
00:47And yes, I am patriotic, but I've always represented my people
00:53and not the government, so there's a big difference in that.
00:57And yeah, so I'm happy with these changes and hopefully, you know,
01:03things will be great and prosperous for our country in the future.
01:08Hello, Novak.
01:10For two years, we felt that the Grand Slams were the main source of motivation for you.
01:17And since the US Open, you play much more on the tour
01:20with much more, I don't know, efficiency and commitment.
01:25Did something change, especially?
01:28Well, Grand Slams remain, of course, the most important tournaments we have.
01:33I mean, for me and I think for 99% of the players,
01:37they are, you know, the pillars and the historic pillars of our sport
01:43where you want to play your best tennis and make your name
01:49known in the history books of tennis.
01:51So, you know, I still want to do my best in slams,
01:57but, you know, of course, I also would like to play well in other tournaments.
02:02And this year, it was the kind of focus shifted on feeling well on the court
02:08rather than playing well, to be honest,
02:10because for most of the tournaments that I played, I didn't play many.
02:14It was, health-wise, a big struggle.
02:19Physically, you know, just struggled a lot
02:21and it had nothing to do with my preparation
02:26or whether I'm training enough,
02:27because I see there's a lot of people that love to express their expert opinion
02:31on knowing exactly what's happening with me, but they don't.
02:37But nevertheless, you know, as I said,
02:40whenever I kind of felt better on the court,
02:43and lately that has been the case,
02:45we're really getting closer to solving
02:48what I have been going through in the last 12 months.
02:51So, you know, right away, my performance level,
02:54my enjoyment on the court, my feeling is great,
02:57and I play better.
02:58So, Beijing was the best week of the year other than Australia,
03:03and I thought I played pretty well in Basel as well
03:06of course, you know, it was a tight match to lose,
03:08but, yeah, you know,
03:11just trying to enjoy the last couple weeks of the season
03:15and on the court, feeling better primarily, as I said,
03:19and then the performance will come, you know,
03:21and, yeah, we'll see after that.
03:24Hello, Novak.
03:25Welcome back to Paris.
03:27You've talked about yoga, meditation,
03:28and conscious breathing throughout your career.
03:31As you've moved from your early 20s to your late 30s,
03:34how has the role of those practices in your tennis evolved for you,
03:37and is the emphasis more on the body today
03:39or more on the mind?
03:41It has always been about body-mind connection, you know,
03:45and it's never more or less on either of the two.
03:52And, you know, I come from the part of the world
03:58where, you know, yoga and meditation are not really widespread practice,
04:04but, you know, I've always been very, how can I say,
04:07open-minded and willing to learn and to understand, you know,
04:13how I can improve the way I feel, the way I train,
04:18the way I recover,
04:22and absolutely conscious breathing was always a focal point of my practice.
04:28It's been like that since the very young age,
04:30so I've been fortunate to come across some people
04:34at the beginning of my career
04:35that have pointed out the importance of taking care of yourself
04:39in a kind of a holistic manner.
04:43So I still, of course, practice a lot of these things.
04:46I develop my own, how can I say, routines and habits
04:50that, you know, help me, you know, I guess, feel better
04:53and just optimize my health.
