00:00Alright, so if your gutters are dumping all that free rainwater straight down the drain every time
00:04it rains, stick around, because I just dug through the listings and found the top 5 downpipe rain
00:09collectors for roof gutters, and honestly, a couple of these are an absolute steal.
00:14Kicking things off with the one I'd probably buy first, this compatible rainwater collector
00:18handles roofs up to 80 square meters, fits pretty much any 70-110mm downpipe, and the best part is
00:24it actually shows up ready to install with the mounting accessories and a 100-centimeter hose
00:29in the box. No extra trip to the hardware store, no guessing what else you need.
00:35At just over 19 bucks, with close to 5,000 people sold and a 4.7 rating, that's a lot
00:40of trust behind
00:41a pretty small price tag and if you've got a standard setup, it's genuinely all you need.
00:46Next up is this a 08 or water-butt filler kit, and the thing I like here is how flexible
00:51it is,
00:51it's designed to connect your downpipe straight into a water-butt, so you're not just collecting
00:55a bit of runoff, you're actually filling a proper barrel you can dip a watering can into
01:00all summer. It's got that same 4.7 rating and about 4,600 sales behind it, and at $24 and
01:07change,
01:07it's the one I'd point to if you've already got a but sitting in the garden waiting to be hooked
01:11up.
01:12Third on the list is the ABR Urain But Connection Set, and this one's a bit of an all-rounder,
01:17complete diverter set, fits those 70-110mm downpipes, hose included, so again you're not
01:23hunting down separate bits. What makes it worth a look at $22.36 is that it's been bought over
01:304,400 times, and even though the rating sits at a slightly lower 4.5, that's still a solid score
01:35for a kit loads of people have already fitted themselves without drama. Then we've got the
01:40cheapest one on the list, and honestly it's kind of the value pick of the whole video,
01:44this AB66 collector comes in at just $10.16. 10 bucks.
01:50And it's still rated 4.7 with nearly 4,400 sold, which tells you it's not some flimsy throwaway.
01:57It's a simple plastic downpipe rain collector with a hose for roof water collection, so if you want
02:02to test the whole idea out, or you need a spare for a shed or a second downpipe without spending
02:07real money, this is the no-brainer. And last but definitely not least, and I saved this one
02:12deliberately, this A08er set has the highest rating on the entire list at 4.9 out of 5, which is
02:18genuinely hard to pull off across 4,000 plus sales. You get the 70-110mm downpipe fit,
02:25mounting accessories, and the 100cm hose, all for roofs up to 80 square meters, and it's $24.53.
02:33That's only a few dollars more than the cheapest kit here for the best-rated one in the bunch,
02:38if you want the one people are happiest with, this is it.
02:41So there you go 5 solid options, and honestly you can't really go wrong with any of them depending
02:46on whether you're after the cheapest, the best-rated, or the most complete kit.
