00:00Top 5 Silicone Hoses for Aquarium Water Changes
00:04Everybody who keeps fish eventually learns the same lesson, a cheap, brittle airline tube will
00:08crack in your hands while you're trying to drain a 50-gallon tank. So I went through the listings,
00:14checked the ratings, and picked the silicone hoses that are actually worth your money right now.
00:19These are the 5 best deals for top 5 silicone hoses for aquarium water changes, and honestly,
00:24a couple of them are so cheap you'll barely notice the purchase.
00:28Stay till number 3, because that one sold almost 4,000 times and it's less than a dollar.
00:33Starting at number 1, this 1-meter food-grade silicone hose is the definition of why did
00:38I not buy this sooner. It's completely transparent, so you can actually see the water and more
00:44importantly, see any algae or debris building up inside the tube, which is way easier to spot than
00:49with milky white tubing. The diameter list is huge anything from half a millimeter all the way up to
00:5516, so you can match it to your exact pump. It's flexible, it stays flexible, and it's 62 cents
01:01for a full meter, it's the cheapest fix in this whole video. Grab it!
01:06Number 2 is the Long Hauler. 10 meters of transparent food-grade silicone tube,
01:12running from 2 millimeters up to a full 20, 4355. Think of it as the whole fishroom option,
01:18siphon multiple tanks, run a permanent refill line, or set up a DIY auto top-off.
01:24The flexibility at this length is genuinely impressive, it doesn't kink when you bend it
01:29around a rim or under a cabinet, and the walls feel thick and sturdy rather than flimsy.
01:34It's a slight step down in rating compared to the others, but for the sheer amount of tubing you get,
01:39it's still one of the best values going. Now, number 3 is my personal favorite,
01:44and it's the one I tell you to buy first. This listing actually gives you a choice 1 meter or
01:495
01:50and comes in inner diameters from half a millimeter up to 12. The transparency is crystal clear,
01:56and the listing specifically calls it food-grade and non-toxic, which matters if you're running
02:00it near in canister filter intake or even using it to drink water out of the tank.
02:063700 sold, a 4.8 rating, and for 63 cents you could honestly buy one of each size.
02:12That is an insane deal for a hobby that gets expensive fast.
02:16Number 4 is the 5-meter premium pick, and this is the one for serious setups.
02:21Food-grade, non-toxic, and the diameter range goes from 1mm all the way to 16,
02:27so it covers everything from tiny airline-style feeds to a serious drain line.
02:32373 gets you 5 meters of tube, which means you can finally do that rear-up tank plumbing job
02:37without piecing together three different hoses.
02:40Reviewers consistently mention how soft and easy it is to work with,
02:43it slides over fittings without fighting you and holds its shape once it's on.
