00:00Such recognition, I believe, allows us to pause for a moment and reflect on what we have achieved thus far.
00:11But I also feel, as I approach my 80th year, that it is also a laurel of encouragement for us
00:27all to keep working, evolving, and finding new ways to best serve the people and provide hope and stability for
00:39new generations.
00:44On a personal note, I would like to thank the Foundation for arranging that I could meet so many of
00:56your citizens, so many young people.
00:59It's been such a great privilege, young students and children and people of all ages, whether to speak or to
01:11sing for.
01:12I'm very grateful for that.
01:17I thank you once again for this honor and the kindness and consideration bestowed upon us by your entire team.
01:27We will all leave here with a greater prize than one anticipated, and that is many enduring friendships.
01:39I'd like to also say, in closing, that all of us, all of us in this room, I'm certain, have
01:51experienced in the pursuit of our individual missions,
01:55great highs, great highs, great sense of accomplishment, yet also the frustration of setbacks, and the sting of defeat, yet
02:08we all are here, and we have all prevailed.
02:14So, we have spoken, of course, much about the collective, the people, all week long.
02:24I've been singing a song that my husband and I wrote, People of the Power, which contains the words,
02:32I believe that everything we dream can come to pass through our union, we can turn the world around, we
02:45can turn the earth's revolution.
02:48But I would also now offer a different kind of song, just a little hymn for the individual heart within
03:00us all.
03:02The one that keeps striving, in spite of all strife, to help build a better world.
03:16I was a wing in heaven blue, on on the ocean, soared over Spain.
03:30I was a wing in heaven blue, on the ocean, soared over Spain, and I was free, I needed nobody.
03:38It was beautiful, it was beautiful, it was beautiful, I was a pawn, couldn't make a move, couldn't go nowhere,
03:56no future at all.
03:59Yet I was free, I needed nobody, it was beautiful, it was beautiful.
04:13I was a vision in another eye, that saw everything, a future for all.
04:27And I was free, I needed nobody, it was beautiful, it was beautiful.
04:41And if there's one thing, could do for you, you'd be a wing in heaven blue.
04:57And if there's one thing, could do for you, you'd be a wing in heaven blue.
05:15Thank you.
05:16Thank you.
05:17Thank you, everybody.
05:18Thank you.
05:20Thank you.
05:21Thank you.
05:22Gracias por ver el video.
