00:00Top 5 Drafting Compasses for School Video Script
00:03Alright, if your compass snapped in half mid-geometry test, or the pencil keeps slipping
00:08right when the circle almost closes, stay with me. I went through the best sellers and pulled
00:13the top 5 drafting compasses for school, the ones students actually keep using, not the
00:17throwaway junk. Let's get into it. Kicking things off at number 5, the MNG
00:24Compass Drawing Tool. This one doubles as a geometric and engineering protractor,
00:29so you're measuring angles and drawing arcs with gear you actually have in one hand instead of two.
00:34Metal build, holds its shape, doesn't flex while you're mid-circle.
00:38It's $4.86 with almost 5,000 sold and a 4.7 rating, solid pick if you want one tool
00:45that
00:45does double duty for class and shop work. Number 4 is the Stainless Steel Multifunctional Set,
00:51and the reason it's here is the value. You get 2, 4, 5, or 6 pieces depending on which option
00:57you
00:57pick so you can cover your own kit and your study partners in one go. Stainless steel means no rust
01:03sitting in a pencil case for a semester. $3.12, nearly 5,000 sold, and a perfect 5 rating.
01:11That's the budget buy I'd hand to a younger sibling without worrying.
01:15Number 3, the Stainless Steel Drafting Drawing Compass in the 8600 or 8601 model.
01:22Same family, but the lead core version locks down better, less wiggle, so your circles close clean
01:27instead of drifting a millimeter off at the end. If you do a lot of construction work in geometry,
01:33that precision is the whole point. 345, 4,000 plus sold, 4.7 stars.
01:40Worth the small bump over the cheapest option.
01:43Number 2, the Metal Zinc Alloy Compasses Set.
01:47This is the one that feels like a real instrument.
01:50Zinc alloy body, and the set throws in a 2B pencil, a drawing gauge, removable pencil,
01:55and a sharpener, so it's a complete kit, not just the compass.
01:59Nothing worse than having the compass and no sharpener on exam day.
02:04384, over 4,000 sold, 5-star rating.
02:08Good all-in-one for exam season.
02:10Links for all 5 are in the description below, so grab the one that fits your budget.
