00:00Okay, here's a script for you.
00:02If you walk to the bus stop, wait on a dark platform, or bike home after a late shift,
00:07you already know that feeling in your gut.
00:10I went deep on the best deals out there for personal self-defense alarms every commuter
00:14needs, and honestly, five of them made the cut.
00:175.
00:19Starting with the budget-friendly classic, this self-defense alarm hits a seriously loud
00:23120 decibels, which is about as loud as a jet engine and more than enough to startle
00:28anyone coming out behind you.
00:30It clips right onto your keys, so it never leaves your pocket.
00:34At $4.95, with over 4,000 sold, it is the easiest way to try one out without overthinking it.
00:42Now if you run at night, this Hollerm personal safety alarm is the one I would actually put
00:46on my keychain.
00:48It hits 130 decibels, and it has a built-in LED light, so you can light up a dark path
00:53and
00:53scream at the same time.
00:55It is USB rechargeable, meaning no batteries to forget in a drawer.
01:00$9.00 and a cent, and the 4.9 rating tells you thousands of people already trust it.
01:06Third one is built for the people who worry most, parents with kids, and older women living
01:10alone.
01:12This 130 decibel panic alarm is a straight-up siren, not a beep, and it comes in a carabiner
01:17clip so you can strap it to a backpack, a purse strap, or a stroller handle.
01:22$5.91, still under 6.
01:26Cheap insurance for something that only has to work once.
01:29Fourth one might be my favorite value on this whole list.
01:33This personal safety alarm also hits 130 decibels but throws in an LED strobe light, which is
01:39way brighter than your little phone flashlight and it disorients someone.
01:43You can clip it to a bag strap, a belt loop, or your keys.
01:47For 56 makes this the cheapest 130 decibel option here, and it still has a 4.9 rating.
01:54All five links are sitting in the description below, along with the prices I talked about.
