00:00COB Flashlight vs Penlight, which is Brighter Video Script
00:04Ok, real talk every pocket light on the internet claims super bright, and most of them let you down.
00:10So I grabbed 5 of the best-selling COB Flashlights out there, all under 7 bucks,
00:15and I'm comparing every single one against the trusty penlight you keep in your glovebox.
00:19By the end you'll know which side actually wins.
00:23First up, this Folding Cobb XPE Worklight, and it's $6.96 it's the most expensive of the bunch,
00:29but there's a reason. The hinge folds it flat, then angles it into a little stand,
00:34so it lights up your work area hands-free. It runs on a built-in battery, so no charger to
00:40lose,
00:40and it has a red SOS strobe for the night your car dies on the shoulder.
00:44Over 4,600 people bought this one. For a self-standing emergency lamp, that price is fair.
00:52Next, this mini COB Flashlight for $5.34, and honestly for the money it's close to ridiculous.
00:59The flat panel doesn't throw a narrow beam like a penlight, it floods an entire area with soft,
01:04even light, which is way better for working under a sink or setting up a tent.
01:09The magnetic base sticks to your fridge, your truck bed, any metal surface.
01:14USB rechargeable, and buyers are using it for everything from night fishing to power outages.
01:20Now this hanging lantern at $6.23, and it has the highest rating of the whole group at 4.9
01:26stars.
01:27The magnet on the bottom handles metal surfaces, but the hook is the real treat,
01:32hang it over a camp table, inside a tent, or off a branch while you cook.
01:36Built-in battery means one charge lasts for ages, and thousands of people are using it that way.
01:42Solid all-rounder.
01:44This little guy is the one for your pocket.
01:48$5.58, and it packs a clip, a strong magnet, and genuine waterproofing,
01:52so rain, mud, and dropping it off a tailgate don't matter.
01:56It charges over USB-C, which means the same cable that charges your phone.
02:01Over 2,500 sold and a 4.8 rating.
02:05If you want something you forget you even own, this is it.
02:09So the short answer, a pen light gives you a narrow beam, a COB panel floods the whole space,
02:14and every one of these costs less than a sandwich.
