00:00Script. Rain doesn't wait for you to get ready. One minute your patios dry, next minute your
00:07plants, your firewood, your chicken coop are soaked. So I went looking, and I found five
00:12tarps under $22 that actually hold up. Here's the best of them. First up, this heavy-duty
00:19waterproof canopy tarp at $21.98. Nearly 4,500 people bought it, and I get why.
00:26The grommets are spaced properly, so it ties down tight instead of flapping itself into a knot.
00:33If you want one tarp that covers a whole terrace or a big pile of anything, this is the one.
00:38$22 for something that'll outlast three cheap plastic sheets.
00:43Next, the UV-resistant heavy-duty tarp at $21.52, the cheapest serious tarp here.
00:50UV-resistant matters more than people think. Regular tarps go brittle after one summer of sun,
00:56then crack the first time the wind hits them. This one's rated for the sun as well as the rain.
01:02Garden, porch, emergency shelter during a storm it's the one I'd keep folded in the garage.
01:08Now the budget pick. This transparent thick tarp is $7.24.
01:15$7.
01:16And it's clear, which sounds like a small thing until you use it, your plants still get light,
01:21your chicken house doesn't turn into a dark box, and you can see what's underneath without lifting
01:25anything. Rating's 4.1, so it's not the toughest tarp on this list. But at that price, buy two and
01:32stop worrying. Fourth one is the sweet spot for me. Clear waterproof poly tarp, $11.93,
01:40and a 4.9 rating, the highest tier. Rust-proof grommets are the detail that sells it.
01:47Cheap grommets rust, rust stains everything they touch, then they rip out. These don't.
01:53Anti-tier, transparent, under $12. For a patio or a chicken coop,
01:59this is the one I'd actually spend my own money on.
