00:01Okay, so everyone keeps asking me the same thing, during carabiner or 12 kN carabiner, which one's actually stronger?
00:09And honestly, the answer surprised me, because these two things aren't even in the same league.
00:15I went through the listings, dug into the specs, and found the best deals on both sides so you don't
00:20have to guess.
00:21Stick with me for 2 minutes.
00:23Let's start small, because this is where most people actually shop.
00:28This 5-pack of mini-aluminum alloy during clips is $4.16, and it has almost 4,900 sales at
00:34a 4.9 rating.
00:36These are keychain carabiners, they hold keys, a gym fob, a water bottle, a lanyard on your backpack.
00:43They're light, the spring gate is smooth, and the colors look great.
00:47But be clear on what they are, they're accessories, not load-rated gear.
00:52For 4 bucks for 5 of them, that's a no-brainer for organizing your bag.
00:56Now here's where the real answer starts.
00:596 pieces, 12 kilonewtons each, $15.22, and this set has over 4,400 sales at 4.9 stars.
01:0812 kN means roughly 2,700 pounds of force, that's a genuinely rated carabiner, not a keychain toy.
01:15Aluminum deering shape, lightweight, heavy-duty gate, and you get 6 of them.
01:20This is the one I'd grab for backpack gear, hanging a hammock, strapping stuff to a rack.
01:25If you want strength, this listing is the answer.
01:29And if you want the deering keychain look but for less, the 6-pack is $4.54.
01:35Aluminum alloy, snap lock buckle, deering shape, and it's sitting at 3,900 sales with a 4.8 rating.
01:42Same job as the first one in keys, clips, small gear, backpack loops, just a slightly different
01:47finish and a slightly cheaper price per piece.
01:51Honestly, at this price, buy a set for your desk drawer, one for the car, one for the gym bag.
01:56You'll use them more than you expect.
01:59Then there's the single clip, and I love this one for a totally different reason.
02:04One carabiner, $3.44, eight colors to pick from, and it's one of the highest-rated things
02:10in this whole category at 4.9 with nearly 3,900 sales.
02:14If you don't want a pack of six, if you just want one good-looking clip on your keys in
02:18a
02:19color you actually like, this is it.
02:21Cheap enough to grab a couple in different colors and never think about it again.
02:26Skipped, script timestamps plus shot list, add when filming.
