34 OFWs from Riyadh arrive in PH

Thirty-four Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City on Oct. 19, 2026, marking the return of the first batch of repatriates from Saudi Arabia assisted by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). They returned to the country following flight disruptions in Riyadh. In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive under the UPLIFT Assistance Program, the returning workers received airport, lodging, and transport support upon arrival. At least 65 repatriated OFWs are expected to arrive on Oct. 20 as government agencies continue operations using the supplemental Emergency Repatriation Fund.
