00:00Bath time with a newborn is basically a splash zone with screaming, water in the eyes, soap in the ears,
00:06and you're both soaked by the end.
00:08So I went hunting for the best baby shampoo cap under $5.83, and I came back with five that
00:14people are actually buying by the thousands.
00:17Let's go through them.
00:19First up, the dinosaur one.
00:21This is the baby soft rubber waterproof shampoo cap, and honestly, the dinosaur pattern is what sells it, kids see
00:27a toy, not a bath torture device.
00:30It's got adjustable ear protectors, so you can snug it down for a smaller head and loosen it as they
00:35grow.
00:36Soft rubber, fully waterproof, water pours straight off the brim and away from the face.
00:42Price is $5.77, 4.9 stars, over $4,500 sold.
00:48That's the highest-rated one on this list, and if your kid fights bath time, the cute factor alone is
00:53worth it.
00:55Next, the best value pick.
00:57This kid's ear protection shampoo hat comes in at $5.07, basically a full buck cheaper than the first one.
01:04Same idea, adjustable, soft, protects the ears and keeps water out of the face while you rinse.
01:10It doesn't have a fun pattern, it's plain, but the fit is what matters and this one adjusts well for
01:15toddlers and bigger kids.
01:174.9 stars, $4,420 sold.
01:21If you just want something that works and don't care about the Dino, this is the smart buy.
01:27Third, this one's built for the tiny ones.
01:29The shampoo shield bath head cover is designed with newborns and infants in mind, the adjustable band goes small enough
01:36for a baby head, and the ear protection is the whole point here.
01:39No more water pooling inside the ear canal, which is exactly how you avoid ear infections.
01:46$5.37, 4.9 stars, $4,346 sold.
01:52Same top rating as the others, so if you've got a newborn, this is the one I'd grab.
01:57Now, the cheapest of the bunch.
01:59This kid's bathing cap is only $4.15, and it does the same job, soft adjustable band, shields the eyes,
02:06protects the face during the wash.
02:09Here's the honest part, it's rated 4.4 stars, not 4.9.
02:14Still 4,233 people bought it.
02:17That slightly lower rating usually means the strap is a bit looser or the materials thinner on some units.
02:24If budget is everything and your kid has a pretty average head size, 4 bucks is hard to argue with.
02:30Last one, and this is the premium feeling pick.
02:33This baby shower cap uses a silicone crown design, softer, spring ear, and it hugs the head without pinching.
02:40Fully waterproof, protects the ears and eyes, adjustable, and it works for both boys and girls.
02:47$5.49, 4.5 stars, $3,937 sold.
02:53It's the lowest seller of the five, but silicone does feel nicer than plain rubber, so if your kid is
02:58sensitive about things on their head, worth the extra few cents.
03:02So there you go 5 solid caps, all under $5.83.
03:07Links to every single one are in the description below, so you can check current prices and grab whichever fits
03:12your kid.
