00:00so you've probably seen ton of manga apps but here's the problem most of them aren't actually
00:04trying to do the same thing some are built around one publisher some are better for catching up on
00:09older series some focus on discovering new titles and some combines manga with manhwa and webcomics
00:15so instead of asking which manga app is best let's ask a better question what is each app
00:21actually good for i picked seven worth knowing in 2026 to 27 but we are starting with one that has
00:28recently become a lot more interesting you probably know mantha for manhwa and webcomics in 2026
00:35mantha expanded into manga adding hundred top titles including blue log sign of affection windbreaker
00:41and fragrant flower boom with dignity and that's what make mantha different it's not just another
00:47manga reader it's a place where manga and manhwa can live together so if you already read both
00:53mantha is a one platform you should definitely check out but what if you're looking for manga
00:58that isn't just the same hunch mainstream titles that's where omai comes in remember actually
01:05it didn't disappear it becomes omar in 2025 omai focus on official license manga but what makes
01:12it interesting is emphasis on discovery alongside established series it also highlight hidden gems and
01:18your creators so if you're already read obvious big name titles and you're looking for something
01:23different omai is worth exploring but maybe discovering isn't your problem maybe you just
01:29want more variety in one place and that's where komiki comes in komiki takes multi-publisher approach
01:36instead of focusing on major japanese publisher it brings together content from multiple partners and
01:41different comic markets so you are not just looking at one publisher catalog you got manga manhwa
01:48and other comics in one platform and it also has different free reading options including
01:53wait to read and watch to read system on eligible titles basically if variety is your priority
01:59komiki is one to look at now let's get back to the big publisher because if your favorite manga
02:06comes from kodansha there's very obvious apps for you k manga this one is simple k manga is kodansha's
02:14official manga service it has hundreds of kodansha titles including major series like antagon titles
02:19the pure adventure fairy tales and bruno along with newer releases and original manga it also uses free
02:25chapters tickets and points depending on titles so if you're big kodansha reader you already know
02:32where to start but kodansha isn't the only major publisher with its own app manga this one belongs to
02:39square enix manga up is its official manga digital service with hundreds of manga and free reading
02:45mechanism plus simple releases for selected titles so if the manga you are looking for comes from the
02:50square enix manga up is the platform to check first and now we are reaching silently tricky comparison
02:57because the next two apps are both connected to susha but they are useful for different reasons
03:04shonen jam shonen jam is extremely interesting if you want to catch up on hanji library which currently
03:10says the service offers for worth more than 20 000 chapters and india is listed among the supported
03:16countries so this is less about what the newest chapter today and more about i have hundreds of
03:23chapters to catch up on if that's you the hanji back catalog is big selling point and now you can
03:30probably see why i didn't just call it the same thing as a manga plus because manga plus has different
03:35strength manga plus by susha manga plus is susha's official service and one of the biggest advantage
03:43is current manga releases including simultaneous releases with monk japan so if you're following
03:49series like one piece plus a man rather than all other current susha titles this one is the first app
03:55you should check unlike shonen jam susha's historical library manga plus is particularly compelling for
04:01readers who want to stay up to date with ongoing manga so now we got seven apps but notice something
04:07there isn't really one universal winner here which one you should use that actually the point
04:15want current susha manga then manga plus got you want massive susha back catalog shonen jam is the
04:22best option looking for square enix manga up got you back up looking for susha kotansha k manga is the
04:31best option i would choose want multi-publisher variety kamiki is the best that got its features
04:40want license discovery and hidden gems then omai is the option i would choose and want manga to be
04:47with manga and web comics manga is the best option for that so instead of asking what is the best
04:56manga
04:56app ask what do i actually want to read because once you choose the answer choosing the right platform
05:04becomes a lot easier and honestly that's what makes them app interesting they are not seven copies of
05:10same thing there are seven different ways to read
