00:00Destination X. We are joined on commentary by the youngest TNA World Champion of all time, Leon Slater.
00:06That's a nice little ring to it, doesn't it?
00:09It's got to feel good, Leon. It's got to feel good coming out of Bomber Florian.
00:13It feels fantastic, and I cannot wait for the total non-stop action we're about to see right here.
00:18Moose, Trey Miguel, the TNA International Champion, Jason Hodge, Ricky Sosa, and Elijah squaring off for this.
00:26Leon, I have to ask you, how did you feel about the Hardys denying Nick Nemeth his TNA World Title
00:31contractual rematch tonight?
00:33I loved it! It brought a smile to my face so I could show off my pearly, pearly whites, man.
00:39It made me happy.
00:40Matt and Jeff are some of the two most creative people I've ever, ever met, especially when it comes to
00:45professional wrestling.
00:46Nick was pretty ticked off earlier on tonight. He said he was going to be watching this ladder match.
00:50Speaking of which, inside the ring, we know that Ricky Sosa grew up watching Moose, idolizing Moose. This is such
00:56an opportunity for him.
00:57100%, and I know that feeling very, very well. Being in the ring with your idols, your heroes, it's a
01:02challenge, but I think Ricky can do it.
01:03Oh, blood clap!
01:06Beautiful dropkick there by Sosa, who defeated Eddie Edwards to kick off Bound for Glory.
01:11No doubt about it. Showing everybody, showing, including Eddie Edwards in the world, that he more than belongs here in
01:17TNA, and he could get himself a shot at that TNA World Title.
01:22Oh!
01:24Moose went all the way up to get Sosa.
01:27Two athletes, man. Wow.
01:29Eddie Edwards endorsed Sosa at Bound for Glory. That caused some issues within the system earlier on tonight.
01:33Rising tensions there. They did not like that.
01:37Moose, if he could earn another title shot, he could be eyeing potentially his fourth TNA World Championship.
01:44If he were to defeat you, Leon, come Destination X. Excuse me.
01:49Moose, the only former World Champion in this matchup.
01:53Also a former X-Division Champion. The man that I beat, he's going for the X-Division Championship.
01:59Oh! A little drift away there by Elijah.
02:01Here comes Arch.
02:02Elijah, he's had ladder match experience during his time in WWE, dating back all the way to 2018, the likes
02:09of Bobby Lashley as an opponent.
02:11Look out, there's Sosa coming from the top rope. This is the thing with these matches, and Leon, you know
02:16as well as anybody, you've got to keep your head on a swivel.
02:19One hundred percent, and you've got to keep your head on a swivel not only for human beings, but ladders
02:23coming flying at your dome as well.
02:25And here's something really impressive thing, Liana. You and Ricky Sosa were tag team partners at one point, but like
02:30Ricky Sosa, this is his first ladder match.
02:33Insane.
02:33He doesn't look phased.
02:34He never does. He never does. He's such an impressive athlete. He's wise beyond his years.
02:40Ricky Sosa's special, man. Wow.
02:41His confidence grows every time he steps through those ropes. He gets more and more sure, and look at the
02:47strike.
02:47Oh, great. Great counter there from Spider Trey himself.
02:52They're calling out for nothing.
02:54Trey Miguel, who got down to the final two in the Call Your Shot gauntlet match at Bound Foot Glory.
02:59He lasted nearly 35 minutes.
03:03Beautiful blue thunder bang there from Sosa.
03:05But Hotch from almost out of nowhere there.
03:08We got some athletes in TNA, eh?
03:10Oh, you would know that about it.
03:12The future looks bright for TNA.
03:15Jason Hotch, now a two-time TNA international champion.
03:18Jason Hotch, the last man standing from Order 4.
03:23Now, could punch his ticket.
03:26The shot to be a double champion.
03:28I feel like Jason Hotch is someone that is finally getting his eye on Sonny.
03:32I feel like he was always someone that was credited as underrated, and now he is finally rated as he
03:37should.
03:37Like he said, a two-time international champion in a span of a couple months, if I'm thinking correctly.
03:42Absolutely.
03:43He's so impressive, man.
03:44He's dangerous, that's for sure.
03:46For a long time, the definition of potential with a chip on his shoulder.
03:50That potential now being realized.
03:52One hundred percent.
03:53And look at this.
03:54What a counter.
03:56Innovation.
03:57Hotch has got a hold of Moose and Elijah.
03:59Two for one.
04:01Remember, in this matchup, there are no disqualifications.
04:03First man to climb a ladder and unhook the contract is going to Destination X to face you, Leon.
04:09And that's what makes this thing so scary.
04:10This is some of the most innovative and creative wrestlers that we have in TNA.
04:14And then you put a ladder in their hands, it's big trouble, to say the least.
04:18So far, we have yet to see a ladder introduced.
04:21Poison Rock.
04:22Oh, my goodness.
04:24Good night, Jason Hotch.
04:27Now, Elijah charges after Miguel.
04:31Leon, it feels like you and Trey Miguel have a lot in common.
04:34Oh, he was one of your earliest opponents when you first signed with this company in 2023.
04:39One hundred percent.
04:39Trey Miguel was actually my first opponent after I signed my TNA contract.
04:43And he has been a measure and stick to me throughout my TNA career.
04:46He's always been there when it's time for a level up.
04:49Former X Division champion and former tag team champion.
04:52Looking to break through and grab that world title for himself.
04:56Moose, the largest man in this matchup who actually owns a ladder match victory
05:01against Jeff Hardy from Sacrifice last year.
05:04That's right.
05:04Overcame his fear of climbing ladders that night.
05:08It's not easy for Moose.
05:09I will never forget Moose trying to reach the ultimate X, stood on a steel chair.
05:12Yeah.
05:14Not his favorite thing, but here we have the ladders finally being introduced.
05:18Everybody trying to spend their time taking out their opponent's smart strategy.
05:22And now this is going to be interesting because Moose and Elijah want to sell.
05:25Look at this.
05:26Oh, my God.
05:28Miguel and Hotch annihilated by Elijah and Moose.
05:32Watch out for Ricky, though.
05:33Sosa taking to the sky.
05:37This ladder match is just getting started.
05:40Who's going to challenge for the TNA world title at Destination X?
05:49The ladders have finally been introduced in part.
05:52They have yet to enter the ring as Ricky Sosa here is eyeing.
05:56You coming for me, yeah?
05:57All right then, big man.
05:58Let's see.
05:58Let's see, big man.
05:59Show me something.
06:00He's eyeing that TNA world title sitting right here in the lap of the current champ,
06:05Leon Slater, who's getting a front row seat to who his next challenger will be.
06:10Ricky turns 22 in December.
06:12Again, he's in his first ladder match, and he just looks unfazed.
06:16It's unbelievable to me.
06:18The confidence is oozing through.
06:21Oh, my gosh.
06:21Just over five years of professional wrestling, Leon.
06:25Insane, man.
06:26Insane.
06:27The drifter here.
06:28I've got to say, it's the Europeans, I think.
06:30It is.
06:31It's a European thing, man.
06:32There's something with that continent.
06:34Something in the water we got over there.
06:36Something's going on.
06:37And now Elijah trying to set up the ladder here.
06:40Ricky better be careful here, because like you said, Elijah has experience.
06:43He is very well-versed in how to use a ladder to hurt somebody.
06:46Elijah's certainly one of the powerhouses in this match along with Moose.
06:50He's trying to walk now.
06:50Here we go.
06:52Is Ricky going to walk with him?
06:54War with Elijah!
06:58We're going to take a walk, but is it enough?
07:01Oh!
07:03Sosa was looking for one thing, and Elijah decided to use the ladder as a weapon.
07:07Great counter mid-air.
07:08Great counter.
07:09It's all about not necessarily taking a walk, but taking a climb.
07:13But, oh, wait, look at this.
07:16Down goes Miguel.
07:17Oh, and now Hodge.
07:20Down goes Moose.
07:25It's like he dripped it into the mind of Terry Funk here.
07:28Ha-ha!
07:29Swinging that ladder around.
07:33And now, Elijah, you've got to use it.
07:35Somebody's got to climb.
07:36A little disoriented.
07:37Yeah, he's too dizzy, man.
07:38You've got to set that thing up in the middle, boss.
07:41And now Hodge and Miguel, the two boys who shared roots in Ohio, taking out Elijah.
07:46A little, call that a little Toledo twosome, from what I understand.
07:51Oh, Hodge.
07:52Able to avoid from what you understand.
07:53Steady on, steady on.
07:55Here comes Moose.
07:56Oh, God.
07:59Moose is back.
08:01And we know Moose's history with his back.
08:03Yeah, for real.
08:04It's treacherous.
08:06Trey's about to meet the same fit.
08:08Damn.
08:09Miguel suplexed into the ladder.
08:12That does not feel good.
08:14Absolutely not.
08:14The damage now starting to add up for some of the guys in this matchup.
08:18Look at this.
08:19Look at this.
08:20Oh, man.
08:22This is what it means to put it all on the line for an opportunity at greatness.
08:27People really got to stop running at these ladders, man.
08:29For real.
08:30I mean, they know what's on.
08:31A shot at you, Leon.
08:32It's true.
08:33You've got to risk it all.
08:33You have to risk it all if you want to be in the ring with the champion.
08:36And that's exactly what these guys are doing.
08:38And I'm loving it.
08:39The contract hanging above the ring here in Dothan, Alabama.
08:42One of these five men will secure it and have a TNA World title shot come Destination X Sunday, November
08:4815th.
08:49Live on pay-per-view with TNA Plus in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
08:55And the Drifter trying to run the table.
08:57Good God.
08:58Trying to run the table here in the ring.
09:00Keeping everybody from getting up.
09:02Keeping everybody from getting in the ring if he can.
09:04And, you know, it speaks to the talent level in this match that this is the first time, I believe,
09:08that this ladder has been set up and ready for someone to climb.
09:11100% right.
09:12And now, speaking of climbing, the Drifter making the steps as Hodge is trying to slow him down.
09:19Drifter has been a beast in this match.
09:22I mean, you've got to keep your head looking every which way.
09:25Somebody can be coming from any direction.
09:27100%.
09:27And he has a deadly mix of that power, the experience.
09:30He's a very dangerous man right now.
09:33You've got to climb and you've got to climb fast.
09:35There's the Drifter going up the ladder again.
09:37Trey Miguel on the opposite side.
09:39Trey Miguel closer to that contract, though.
09:41Elijah reaching out.
09:42Trey Miguel up there to meet him.
09:44Big right hand there by Spider Trey.
09:47Looking to knock the Drifter down a step or two.
09:50As Elijah fighting back, Trey's down.
09:53Elijah near the top of the ladder.
09:56Path could be clear now for Elijah to grab the contract.
09:59Look at this position.
10:01It's not ideal for Elijah there.
10:04He's just a little off center here.
10:06It's Hodge meeting Elijah at the top of the ladder.
10:10The contract hangs in the balance.
10:12And now that contract is swinging back and forth.
10:14Hodge reaching out.
10:19This ladder match to determine the number one contender
10:22to the TNA World Champion, Leon Slater,
10:25come Destination X continues here.
10:28And look at this in Alabama.
10:29The Drifter Elijah at the top.
10:31He's got his hands on the contract.
10:33He's right there.
10:34He's right there.
10:34But Hodge is with him.
10:35That's right.
10:36Hodge with him every step of the way,
10:38trying to deny that win.
10:41A-makers these boys are throwing up there.
10:43Dangerous situation.
10:44You can see the ladder teetering.
10:46The ladder teetering.
10:47The contract swinging.
10:49An opportunity hanging in the balance.
10:52And Elijah knocked out a few rungs.
10:54Hodge still up on top.
10:56And as you can hear, folks,
10:58TNA World Champion Leon Slater is right there.
11:00Hodge has his hands on the contract.
11:03Hodge is close, but Ricky's there with him.
11:05The young savage is right there.
11:06That's right.
11:07Shot to the jaw.
11:08Shot to the temple.
11:10Sosa just in time looking to stop Hodge.
11:15The biggest opportunity of their career
11:17is hanging inches above their heads here.
11:20This is 10th time.
11:21Oh, down goes Hodge.
11:22Down goes Hodge.
11:23Hodge is down, but Sosa stays on top.
11:26And there goes Sosa.
11:27So Sosa into the top rope.
11:29Bang, bang, buddy.
11:30Hodge did what he had to do
11:32and just took the ladder down itself,
11:34eliminating the opportunity for anyone to climb.
11:38But he's also eliminated the chance for himself,
11:40and Trey Miguel takes advantage.
11:42And just like that, the playing field has been leveled.
11:45Moose trying to get back into it,
11:47but Trey Miguel trying to hold the ring right now.
11:50This is the level of competition
11:51of everyone who wants a shot at the world title.
11:54Oh, too strong.
11:55Hold up.
11:56I made that mistake many times before.
11:58That's right.
11:59Moose, look at this.
12:00Down.
12:02Moose demolishing Trey Miguel on the apron of the ring.
12:05Well, still to come next week,
12:07this has been made official.
12:08Jason Hodge will defend his TNA International Championship
12:12against Mustafa Ali,
12:14and Ali's contractual rematch
12:16from the title from Bound for Glory,
12:17and it's been made a two-out-of-three-falls matchup.
12:20Also, we're so looking forward to this.
12:22It's the impact in-ring debut
12:24of the phenomenal son, Avery Styles.
12:28He'll face the loudmouth Joe Alonso,
12:30and also this four-way matchup
12:32will determine the next number one contender
12:34to the TNA Hall of Famer,
12:36the reigning X-Division champion,
12:38amazing red.
12:40That is next week here on Impact.
12:42Well, right here, right now,
12:43who is going to make it to next week
12:45as Moose, once afraid of ladders,
12:48has now become an architect
12:49of destruction with ladders.
12:52And Trey Miguel is in deep trouble here.
12:54But great counter from Trey there.
12:56Look at this.
12:57D&T on the floor.
12:58There goes Moose.
12:59Right now, big bonehead.
13:01Planting Moose on the outside.
13:03That eliminates one from the equation,
13:05at least for now.
13:06Trey has got to get a ladder up right.
13:08He has to get a ladder up right
13:09and start to make the climb.
13:11That's always the question in these matches.
13:13How long do you have to set up
13:16to get your feet going,
13:17your hands one at a time?
13:20Trey Miguel, who has been a part of this company
13:23for the better part of the last eight years,
13:25has only ever had one other singles shot
13:29at the TNA World Championship.
13:31He would love to correct that history here tonight,
13:34but Hotch is, oh my God, looking to deny him.
13:38Spins around right into that blue thunder.
13:43Looking a little utopish now.
13:44A little bit.
13:46And now Hotch trying to set up the ladder.
13:48Hotch trying to punch his ticket to Destination X.
13:51Maybe with the idea of becoming a double champion.
13:54And it doesn't look like anyone's stirring.
13:55Hotch's got Ali, what the?
13:57Speaking of a double champion.
13:59Come on, man.
14:00You just mentioned it a little bit ago, Tom.
14:03Next week, Ali gets his rematch,
14:05but he does not want to wait.
14:06Let's go, Hotch.
14:07Let's go.
14:08Ali trying to screw Hotch
14:10out of the number one contendership tonight.
14:12What a wrap.
14:13Ali, look at this.
14:13Look at unload on Hotch here.
14:15All right in front of us.
14:16Hotch has not forgotten
14:17what Ali has done to his family
14:19in that war with Order 4.
14:22And these two are just tearing each other apart.
14:24They don't want to wait
14:25for two out of three falls.
14:26Watch their focus, man.
14:27His head's gone.
14:28His head's gone.
14:29His head's gone.
14:30Hotch and Ali beating the hell out of each other.
14:33And Ali's drawn the attention
14:34of the international champion.
14:36He got exactly what he wanted.
14:38Although he's getting a bunch of knuckles
14:40to his mouth right now.
14:41Ali has got exactly what he wanted.
14:43and he has got rid of Jason Hotch.
14:45I mean, Hotch has said it time and time again.
14:47He wishes he would have put Ali in the ground
14:50instead of the hospital.
14:50He would have been better off.
14:51He's a genius
14:52because Trey Miguel's climbing right now.
14:54Ali has opened the door
14:55for Trey Miguel to grab this contract.
14:57That's right.
14:57And nobody currently is up to stop him.
15:00Sosa slides back in the ring.
15:02Elijah.
15:03Drifter's stirring as well.
15:04Sosa, Miguel.
15:05Oh!
15:06He's doing the knee.
15:07Inadvertent teamwork.
15:09Strange bedfellows happen in these matches.
15:12There goes Ricky.
15:13Sosa with a kick down goes Elijah.
15:15And if you notice,
15:16his head bounced off the ladder too.
15:17Double damage there.
15:19And now Sosa alone in the ring.
15:21Alone with the ladder.
15:23It's wide open for the young savage.
15:27Sosa, he could do it right here.
15:30We could have two 22-year-olds
15:32competing for the world title.
15:34Well, now Moose slowing up Sosa.
15:37Oh, wait.
15:37Look on the outside.
15:39Oh, dear God.
15:40Oh, my God.
15:41Oh, my God.
15:41Oh, my God.
15:44Bouncing off and through that ladder,
15:47Sosa got demolished
15:49courtesy of the face of the franchise.
15:59Sosa grew up idolizing Moose tonight.
16:02He learned the power of the face of the franchise.
16:05That's why you never meet your heroes, folks.
16:06Moose grew up fast here tonight.
16:08Oh, my God.
16:09Down!
16:11And good night, Moose.
16:17Sosa on the floor.
16:19Moose obliterated there.
16:21And nobody's around.
16:22It's just Elijah.
16:23Elijah is all alone.
16:25And look, this is why.
16:26The guitar shot to the Dome of Moose.
16:30And once again, the Drifter climbs to the top.
16:33There's no disqualifications.
16:35If Drifter can get his feet under him.
16:36If he can get his feet under him and climb a little faster, he's there.
16:39He's right there.
16:39He's got his fingertips on it.
16:42He's just going to go.
16:43You're lying.
16:45You are lying.
16:47Nick Nemeth.
16:47Who's not in this match.
16:49Who's pissed off that he didn't get his rematch.
16:52Just scum.
16:53Nick Nemeth robs Elijah of a TNA World title shot out of spite.
16:59Just no, not again.
17:00He had to fight his brother earlier tonight.
17:03Denied his contractual rematch by the Hardys, by Santino.
17:08He's not going to let anybody else get it.
17:10And now Nemeth trying to take the contract for himself.
17:14Trey now pulls the one man down.
17:18Oh, look at this.
17:19Trey fighting back.
17:20Lightning.
17:21Spyro.
17:22Got him.
17:23Nemeth is down.
17:24Trey's all alone.
17:25Trey stands alone.
17:27Trey climbs alone.
17:29He's got to get his feet underneath him, man.
17:31I'm telling you.
17:31He's got to move.
17:32He's right here.
17:32He's got to move.
17:33He never know when the next.
17:35He's going to come back to it.
17:37Trey Miguel reaching out.
17:38He's got a contract.
17:40He's got it.
17:41He's got it.
17:42He's got it.
17:42He's just got to get the contract down.
17:47Miguel trying out the contract.
17:49He got it.
17:51Trey Miguel is going to Destination X.
17:54All right.
17:55Here is your winner, Trey Miguel.
18:03We got ourselves a super fight at Destination X, folks.
18:06How do you feel about that?
18:08World champ, Leon Slater.
18:10We have ourselves a super fight.
18:12Trey Miguel's been here for the better part of a decade.
18:14I've been here for the better part of five years.
18:16I've left my mark, and he has yet to leave his on the world title, and it will not, it
18:20will not be at my expense.
18:23And just like that, Trey Miguel is looking into the eyes of the man he will face for the world
18:31title at Destination X.
