The apocalypse strikes without warning, and deadly mutants lurk at every turn. Five-year-old Pei Niannian, youngest daughter of the Pei family, is torn from her loved ones — only to awaken a miraculous power. She tames a mutated tiger and a black panther into cuddly pet bodyguards, and bends frenzied mutant plants into a living fortress guarding her manor.
Meanwhile, her parents and siblings, scattered across the ravaged world, awaken mighty powers of their own — lightning, space, and earth. Facing peril after peril, the Peis hold the line of justice, rescuing the weak and smashing through every trap. Their one mission: cross a thousand miles of ruin to get home and protect the little sister they cherish most.
