00:00As they welcome to Lisbon the Scottish champions, Celtic.
00:06Benfica, one of the Matchday 1 winners, Celtic.
00:08Well, they had a poor start at home to Ferenc Varos.
00:10He sticks to that here.
00:12He makes six changes from the weekend win against Vittoria Guimaraes,
00:15but just four from Matchday 1 against Milan.
00:18Cameron Carter-Vickers is injured, so there's a new pair at the heart of defence.
00:22Austin Trustee, joined by Dane Murray for his first European start of the season.
00:26Trestiani, low centre of gravity, tricky, creative as well.
00:31Bobbling around in there, and they're looking for a penalty.
00:37John Duran ended up on the deck.
00:40And I think the referee has pointed to the spot here to kick the ball,
00:44but Duran got a leg in there, and instead he kicked the calf.
00:51John Duran goes for the Panenka.
00:54Benfica pulls it off.
00:59And Benfica lead.
01:03Just as they did here against Harts when they blew them away.
01:09McGregor keeps things ticking over and finds Mika Bauer.
01:14The German making good ground.
01:17Kasper Hoop.
01:21No Celtic player gambling and following it in behind Hoop.
01:27Signs of a good response from the Scottish champions, Sorensen.
01:38Bauer.
01:40He could have dealt with that one slightly more convincingly, Anatoly Trubin.
02:02This is Prestiani now.
02:06And Prestiani looking to tee it up.
02:09It's beautifully worked by Benfica.
02:10And Alexander Bauer scores a second for the home side.
02:21Ternecte.
02:25That's not a bad ball.
02:26And it's Hoop.
02:27He's hit the post.
02:29This is Duran.
02:31And he's hit the woodwork as well.
02:33And Ternecte with the follow-up has blazed over.
02:36Rattled the frame of the Benfica goal.
02:45Just over ten to play on the first half that Benfica have largely dominated.
02:52And they're looking for another.
02:54Auschnitz hits the post.
02:56Araujo can't find a way through the congestion.
02:59And the whistle has gone and comes to Celtic's rescue.
03:06On the moment that Duran headed the ball.
03:11Auschnitz just...
03:14Prestiani.
03:17Lovely ball.
03:18Duran.
03:20Duran finds the finish.
03:29Such a dangerous...
03:30Three goals conceded at home on match day one.
03:33Three goals conceded in the first half here on match day two.
03:38And you get the feeling that Benfica are not finished yet.
03:53Prestiani.
03:55Tormenting Donovan again.
03:57Saved by Sinisalo.
04:05Tierney gave that a right good go.
04:08Troopin got a good distance on the punch away.
04:11Too good in fact.
04:12I think that's gone out for a corner.
04:15And he gave that everything, didn't he?
04:19And would have expected to save.
04:21And that's that.
04:23Dominant performance by the home side.
04:25Benfica in charge.
04:27After three first half goals.
04:29Two of which came from John Duran.
04:31The first from the spot on five minutes.
04:33Separated by 36 years.
04:35The first two and the second two.
04:37All finished 3-0 in the favour of the home side.
04:42Benfica though will be looking to add to that in this second half.
04:44And do really what they did to Hearts when they came here.
04:50Duran to Prestiani.
04:53Five in red all making their way forward to be part of this attack.
04:57And as usual Prestiani at the heart of it.
04:59Away by Sinisalo.
05:00So this is Luca Macchio.
05:06Hassan.
05:10Hassan's ball in.
05:12And Celtic have one back.
05:13Touch time by Camilo Duran.
05:21In just ten minutes before half time.
05:25Duran made it three.
05:27So a productive night for John Duran.
05:29This is Pockets picked by Colby Donovan.
05:33And the fact that Donovan is up there.
05:36We'll leave space at the back.
05:38Just as well that Trussie was able to get there.
05:40Because if he lost out there.
05:42There was a three on one situation.
05:53Oxlade-Chamberlain.
05:55Good driving run.
05:57It's Duran.
05:58He's hit the post again.
05:59And Barron had to clear away.
06:02The run was good.
06:03The position was good.
06:05The shot was good.
06:07And just a fraction.
06:37Well they've got an overload here.
06:48And Prestiani.
06:51And Prestiani up against Tierney.
06:54Prestiani's done so well.
06:56And Silas Arlo denies him at his near post.
07:02Well he's a bag of tricks this little fella.
07:05Tied Tierney in knots.
07:07Into the last ten then.
07:15Osman.
07:16Osman.
07:16An excellent time run.
07:17It's Callum Osman.
07:20Osman.
07:23Sheldarov.
07:25And they hit the crossbar.
07:39for the second time tonight and the fifth overall in the match
07:44and in the second minute of the added two, Calum Osmond who has been one of the few
07:48bright points for Celtic tonight, finds Duran who can't find a way past Anatoly Trubin
07:57well it hasn't been a night without positives for the score
08:00but sadly not denied the win
08:05another impressive night for Marco Silva and Benfica one of the hundred percenters two games in
