00:00It's raining and it's night. You find something lying on the road and everybody around you tells
00:08you it's a sea snake or it's a cobra, right? And you just want to jerk yourself away.
00:16You wince and then you say, no, let me go closer and you find it's an ordinary piece of rope
00:21and then you'll say the snake was unreal. So what are the characteristics of unreal appearances?
00:30One, you haven't yet gone close to them. Secondly, the environment is dark, not conducive to exploration
00:44and inquiry. Three, there are people and voices around you that want to give you ready-made
00:55conclusions and they are rather dissuading you from inquiry by use of fear. You go close to it and it
01:05is no more what it appeared to be. If you think you know of something but you haven't ever
01:14inquired into it yourself, then it will be without doubt unreal. The real thing, you come close,
01:25you go far, it remains the same.
