00:00What was the most hated food in the Bible?
00:02It wasn't pork.
00:04It wasn't shellfish.
00:05It was the one food God sent directly from heaven, manna.
00:10In Numbers chapter 11, the Israelites were wandering in the desert, and every morning,
00:16God gave them manna, bread from heaven.
00:19It tasted like honey wafers.
00:21It kept them alive, but they hated it.
00:24The Bible says they cried out,
00:26Our appetite is gone.
00:28All we ever see is this manna.
00:30We remember the fish, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and garlic we had in Egypt.
00:37They were slaves in Egypt, but they craved slave food over God food.
00:43They hated manna because it was always the same.
00:46It was free, so it felt cheap, and it required faith because they couldn't store it.
00:51They had to trust God every single day.
00:54God was giving them a miracle, and they called it boring.
00:59Be careful you don't do the same thing.
