00:03C'est parti !
00:30Kyrie Irving off the dribble, the first shot on the reverse is good, and Kyrie Irving and the Mavs are
00:36on the board.
00:37Guarding Kyrie Irving, he just turns a corner and again gets his step on Jabari. Jabari not trying to pick
00:42up an early foul.
00:43And the Rockets looking to push tempo this season. We saw it in game one. The skip pass to Smith.
00:49Trails shoots.
00:50And McCow, a 13-hour time difference. Kyrie Irving, elite handles, swings it to Washington in rhythm.
00:59And then his shot goes down to three.
01:03Saw the attention that Kyrie drew there. And again, I like Jabari taking the challenge, you know, going to try
01:09to use his length.
01:10And the Rockets answer right back. Reed Shepard.
01:14Their starting lineup in the second half as well, as Smart has his pocket picked, and then flag streaks the
01:20other way to complete the sequence with a big-time slam.
01:23Because he was fading out of bounds and turned it over.
01:27Thompson, his quarter three.
01:30Offensive rebound, Smith. Back out to Smart.
01:33And he scores.
01:35A little close there.
01:37Oh, no, that was bad. That's a missed call.
01:42Good defense by Martin.
01:44A little snatch back.
01:45Oh, two for Smart.
01:48Needless to say, the Rockets are in desperate need of consistent, ongoing three-point shooting, which is something that a
01:58little grenade there for Kyrie.
02:01Caught the grenade.
02:03And it counts.
02:04You see this skill set of Kyrie, one of the...
02:10Bogdanovich and Capella were teammates in Atlanta.
02:13Seeing this team in training camp before they left to China, you could tell that they still had that chemistry.
02:18And ahead the league, out Marshall beats everybody down.
02:21This helter-skelter pace.
02:24Obviously, a new coaching staff, as I mentioned, in Dallas.
02:26But last year, they were third in the league in fast-break points per game.
02:30One of the top teams in the league in terms of pace of play.
02:33And it looks like they're still comfortable doing so.
02:35And another run-out opportunity.
02:37The lob flag to Washington.
02:39Ten for Washington.
02:41First player on either team in double digits.
02:43Thornton.
02:45Forty-plus percent each of his last two years at Ohio State.
02:48And again, the Rockets.
02:49Poor transition defense.
02:51It was not there.
02:53And the Mavs really taking advantage of it.
02:57You're going to see a lot of Marcus Smart disease.
02:59The backup point for the Rockets.
03:01Another terrific feed on the skip to Capella, who rocks the rim.
03:09Kyrie back to Gafford.
03:11Stips through.
03:12Hits the bucket.
03:14And draws the foul.
03:16All Dallas, especially in this second quarter.
03:21Rockets struggling with turnover.
03:23Struggling to score.
03:24Smart to Shepard.
03:26High catch.
03:27High release.
03:29And the three goes down.
03:31We're going to bask in the court right now.
03:33We're going to live it up as far as we can.
03:36Shepard went for the steal.
03:38Smart denies Reese, should say.
03:40Gafford there cleans it up.
03:44That's a deep one for Reed Shepard.
03:45Short.
03:48Kyrie, the quick outlet, the flag, the dish, the lob, and the punch.
03:54Yeah, Rockets getting crushed by Dallas on the break and off of all those turnovers.
03:5914 of them in the first half of the Rockets over the top.
04:02Smart finds Thompson for the dunk for the Dallas Mavericks.
04:0523 points off of the Rockets.
04:0714 turnovers.
04:09And they have 10 on the break.
04:11It feels like they have 30 on the break.
04:14Irving.
04:16Harry Irving walked the bat.
04:17He's got 11.
04:18First time since his knee injury to Marsha.
04:2120-25.
04:23Eason, has he?
04:24Drive.
04:26Deflected.
04:26Picked up by Smith.
04:27Out to Smart.
04:28He launches.
04:29He makes.
04:30Marcus Smart with his second three.
04:32on his sixth attempt from downtown.
04:35He's got 13.
04:35He's been by far the most impressive Rocket.
04:39Stolen.
04:40Reed Shepard.
04:42With the flush.
04:44Teams can relax a bit.
04:46Rockets only down six.
04:47They were down 15.
04:48Kyrie one-on-one.
04:50Spinning on Smith.
04:51So good.
04:52In those situations.
04:55Banked it in.
04:56Foul down.
04:58Got knocked down by Smith.
05:00And one free throw.
05:02Coming up.
05:02Kyrie Irving.
05:03Yeah, Kyrie Irving, a master of body control.
05:07And what he's doing, watch his footwork there.
05:10Marcus played with Boston, Memphis, Washington, L.A.
05:14The Lakers, and now the Rockets.
05:16Reed Shepard.
05:19And then in game one, Reed Shepard 4-7 from downtown.
05:23Smart contested.
05:25Corner three.
05:25Kyrie in, out, and back in.
05:28He's been hoping.
05:29Gets the rebound.
05:30Plays it at Thompson.
05:31One on three.
05:32And he gets denied.
05:37Kyrie stops.
05:38Pops.
05:39Makes.
05:41That's where it now is.
05:42Rockets the outlet to Thompson.
05:43Broken up by Reason Shea.
05:45End-to-end.
05:46Oh.
05:46Deep one.
05:47Kyrie in and out.
05:49Shepard on the push.
05:51Shepard on the drive.
05:52Finds Thompson.
05:53This is for the lead.
05:55And he knocks it down.
05:56And the Rockets, who were once down by as many as 15 points, have rallied back to take a two
06:01-point lead.
06:02How about that?
06:03Amin Thompson with the corner three.
06:06I like his mechanics.
06:07Oh!
06:08Dunked back by Reason Shea.
06:10That's what he does.
06:11He's a cutter.
06:13And double figures.
06:18Shepard.
06:18Deep three.
06:19Got it.
06:24Again, it's huge for Houston, watching Reed Shepard aggressive and really, truly hunting these three-point shots.
06:3217 for Reed.
06:33His fourth threes made eight threes in China.
06:36Flag answers.
06:38Back and forth we go.
06:40After the Mavs are up by 15 in a second.
06:43Reed to Thompson.
06:44Looking for another one.
06:45That one flat.
06:46Gets his miss.
06:48Comes back out to Smart.
06:49He'll launch.
06:50He!
06:52Reigns it in.
06:53Three ball number four for Marcus Smart.
06:56And these threes keeping Houston in the game.
06:59Rieser Shea!
07:00Back and forth!
07:03To pay for it.
07:04I didn't know.
07:04I didn't realize you had to pay for it.
07:06Did you pay it back?
07:08Uh, no.
07:10I think it was just some other random media member from the NBA.
07:14And now the turnovers in the latter half of the third quarter have allowed the Mavericks to really take advantage
07:18of it again and push the lead back to 13.
07:20The turnovers are just killing the Rockets.
07:23Spin move and soft finish from Ed Thompson.
07:26He's had a, he's had a terrific international career.
07:31Bogdan Bogdanovich.
07:33And dances off.
07:35There's Shebway crashing the glass.
07:37And ended up losing his goggles.
07:40And the Rockets come away with points.
07:45Yeah, Bogdan Bogdanovich, a machine, and you get him an open look, you can count it.
08:01Yeah, he's Serbia's all-time leading scorer in international competition.
08:07Marshall hopped to skip, but leaning a lay.
08:10Again, Najee Marshall looking for any angle and able to knife to the rim.
08:16He's got 14.
08:19Thornton.
08:20Oh, and hung and dropped.
08:22And he'll tell the line for one.
08:25A little bit undersized as a five at the NBA level.
08:28Still trying to find and gain some significant traction in the league.
08:33And there's Reza Shea from the corner.
08:41Howard pulling back.
08:43Oh, another tip dunk for Reza Shea.
08:49He's got double goggles out there.
08:51He and Shebway.
08:52Oh, showtime for Reza Shea.
08:56Those are some of those instincts from Reza Shea.
08:59And watch this right here.
09:01Coast reverse and nasty jam there for Reza Shea.
09:05Probably 1 or 2 a.m.
09:07And I spilled cranberry on Craig.
09:09Once.
09:09I was sleeping.
09:10Once.
09:11Once.
09:12And he hasn't sat next to me on the plane since.
09:15That was like a Rodney McCray shot there.
09:17Put that on a rope, did Reza Shea.
09:19Shout out to you, too.
09:20I guess being shot.
09:21I had no idea.
09:22Connection.
09:25Oh.
09:26Pabarovic.
09:28Again.
09:30The great Calvin Murphy, man.
09:35Delarea.
09:36Wow.
09:37Switching to the left.
09:43Oh, up top.
09:45Well done.
09:47The Mavs will dribble it out.
09:48And they will get the split at Macau.
09:51Rockets took game one.
09:52The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:55The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:56The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:56The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:56The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:58The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:58The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:59The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:59The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:59The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
09:59The Mavs take game number two, the final here.
