The political landscape of India has been intensely charged following explosive allegations of vote theft and questions regarding the integrity of the Election Commission. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), warning that the nation's democratic framework is under grave threat. He aggressively claimed that institutional mechanisms are being manipulated to subvert popular mandates and undermine fair elections. Leading an INDIA bloc delegation, Rahul recently took these critical concerns straight to the highest constitutional authorities, demanding answers for systemic electoral discrepancies. Furthermore, he slammed the administration for allegedly using police force and heavy-handed tactics to suppress peaceful protests and intimidate voices speaking truth to power. This high-stakes confrontation has intensified political polarization, putting the Election Commission under direct public scrutiny. Rahul Gandhi's sharp offensive aims to mobilize public opinion, turning the discourse into an intense battle for the protection of India's Constitution and democratic values.

00:00not just to come here for this program it's an honor for me whenever I come to this great land
00:10of Tamil Nadu I say it I say it quite often that whenever I come to this land I always

00:58so when we asked the question
01:03what is a student and did a little bit of research we found two giants of this state
01:15periyar and tiruvalamur and immediately we found two quotes that possibly define a student perfectly
01:32what is a student what does periyar tell students do not follow anything just because
01:47someone else has said it analyze and inquire into everything and then the great poet he says
02:00the deeper you dig the deeper you dig a well in sand the more water springs up the more you
02:09learn
02:10the more knowledge flows friends the heart of being a student is curiosity is asking a question

04:15hello
04:17how are you
04:22i am india priyan
04:25russia
04:27russia
04:29i am kartika
04:31come
04:36you are translating
04:38and
04:39you are going to tell us
04:41about curiosity
04:43about questions
04:43in your life
04:44in your experience
04:46go ahead
04:48so welcome to the land of curiosity
04:50that is the land of periyar
04:51so myself
04:53my name is india priyan
04:55i completed my bs agriculture
04:57i am in llb
04:58and currently i am studying llm in environmental law
05:00so i want to share you about
05:02how i became
05:03a periyarist
05:04so i am from the
05:06birth district of periyar
05:28he wants to share how he became a periyarist
05:31before he was introduced to periyar
05:33he was introduced to thiruvalluvar
05:35he studied thirukural
05:37and one of the fascinating thirukural was
05:39meipuralkan padarivu
05:41that is looking at the right meaning of something
05:44is the ultimate source of wisdom
06:02this thirukural was fragmentedly easily taught to him by periyar
06:07because periyar said that
06:09until or unless
06:10whatever is told by whomever it is
06:13or it may be told by me as well
06:16but until or unless it convinces your rationality
06:19you should never believe in anything
06:21and for first
06:28so
06:38what i mentioned
06:49was
06:51When he was in class 8, his friends were boasting about their own district's pride.
06:57A boy from Madurai boasted, saying that jasmine flower is the pride of our city.
07:02And the one from Dindikal said that the lock that is available in Dindikal is very famous.
07:08But he told that in a temple, that is in Erod, they play this turmeric water.
07:13They play with this turmeric water and that was very famous.
07:16But that was not acceptable to everyone.
07:19So he was finding an alternative.
07:35He asked the question to his dad and his dad replied him that Erod is the birthplace of Tamil Nadu's
07:43politics.
07:44And Periyar is the mentor of the prominent politicians like Kalinger and Pereringer Anna.
08:09He found a book in his home that was about Periyar and he was a very serious theist back then.
08:16So when that book spoke about Periyar's atheism, he found it triggering.
08:22So he couldn't accept that.
08:48So he also found a Stephen Hawking's book in his home.
08:52And that, in that book, he promoted atheism with a scientific notion.
08:58So he found that interesting and connected to this.
09:02And then on, he realized that Periyar has taken atheism in order to get rid of this women's slavery and
09:11caste system.
09:12Because God is being portrayed as a safeguarding point of all these oppressions.
09:31So the reason of him being a rationalist thinker is because of the curiosity that was given by Periyar.
09:54And his request to the student community is that we should not put down Periyar as a mere atheist.
10:02He is a leader who spoke about social justice, women's empowerment, etc.
10:09Thank you.
10:10Thank you.
10:10So I have a question for him.
10:13Yes.
10:16What would Periyar say to somebody who said you should not ask questions and you should believe blindly?
10:23And if you are aware of the question, what would you say to somebody who asked questions and you should
10:40not ask questions?

11:34Perriyar would have answered like this,
11:37Patriarchy, religious beliefs, women's slavery are definitely not the strongest policies that would exist.
11:45Rather, it is humanity that is the strongest policy that exists in the world.
11:51And the way Perriyar would have told this to Mr. Modi would be like this.
11:59He speaks very well.
12:01निए रोंप आणगा पेस भीरिंगाने सोल्ड़ार।
12:13यल्लार को वणक्कम्

13:14Vyasaarabadi is a place in North Chennai and whenever they say or think of North Chennai, there is a negative
13:20stereotype that exists.
13:21That is, those people are illiterate, they are into raudism and they will always act like chief.
13:29So, this notion of oppression is always there on them. The notion of the slum behavior persists even though they
13:40go to top positions in their life.
13:58And because of this stereotype and the negative reflection, they face discrimination both caste-wise and class-wise wherever they
14:07go.
14:12In order to root out this discrimination, they picked up education as the tool.
14:23And the person who stands as the inspiration behind this is Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
14:33Ambedkar.
14:46Ambedkar.
14:53They are not sure whether they can implement everything what Ambedkar has said.
15:02but he has quoted, educate, agitate and organize
15:06in that they have taken up education in their hand

17:49And after she joined this tuition center,
17:52when rationality was inculcated within herself,
17:56she realized the situation of her mother and the plight of her mother
18:00and she even worried that why her mother didn't do a second marriage.
18:04So her thought process, there was a shift in her mindset
18:07and through this tuition center,
18:09they not only teach education to the students but also politics.
18:12Indian Constitution and also rational thinking to the students and she also says that in within few years they themselves
18:20will change the perspective and the narrative that was built by the people on the North Chennai and they will
18:27rewrite the history.
18:45So there were around 150 students in the tuition center and they are imbibed with the boldness and courage to
18:52question the state and even a six standard child in that tuition center has the courage to file an RTI
18:58and raise a question to the state.
19:01Thank you very much.
19:56She feels very happy as a sister because she is very happy.
20:00wherever you go you stand high with the Indian Constitution in your hand and as a sister she has some
20:07request to you that you have to go to their locality, spend time with the children over there, eat their
20:13food and also as a brother you have always been a support.
20:18When is she inviting me?
20:24Always you are welcome.
20:26I will happily come.
20:32She is highly welcome to invite you to their place.
20:36She is very happy with what you have said.
20:38We will organize and I will come and see what is going on.
20:47Nice to meet you.
20:50Nice to meet you.
20:50Nice to meet you.
20:51I will say India.
20:53Thank you.
20:57Thank you.
21:00You are going to translate or you are done?
21:09So, we said that curiosity comes from your language, your culture, your history and your land.
21:19It is the basis with which you ask questions.
21:24But today, that same...
21:33So, curiosity is also the foundation of your progress.
21:39Anything that you ever do, any business that is built, any country that is built, any innovation, any art, dance,
21:53music, anything that you do well, will always begin as a question that you ask.
22:00Correct?
22:03Correct?
22:04Correct?
22:04Correct?
22:05So, questioning is the foundation of curiosity.
22:11Questioning is also the foundation of progress.
22:16We quoted Periyar here.
22:20Periyar was a great person because he questioned everything.
22:24He questioned everybody.
22:27And so, the question is at the heart of human progress.
22:34And not only is the question at the heart of progress, democracy itself emerges from curiosity and from asking questions.
22:47Curiosity is asking questions.
22:51Curiosity is asking questions.
22:53Democracy is your right to ask questions.
22:56The constitution protects your right to ask questions.
23:01And the vote ensures that you get answers from the people who lead you, who run your governments.
23:12Yes, vote chore and an attack on curiosity, an attack on your language, an attack on your culture is an
23:23attack on India, an attack on Tamil Nadu and an attack on democracy.
23:32Today, so, what we are seeing is a full scale attack on Tamil culture, on your language, on your history,
23:46on your traditions.
23:47What you saw, that video you saw, is Mr. Amit Shah openly saying that Hindi should be imposed on the
23:58people of Tamil Nadu.
24:03He is openly, publicly saying that Tamil culture, Tamil language, your history is secondary to his language, to his history,
24:19to his tradition.
24:20So, how is Modi and Shah destroying the foundation of curiosity?
24:28The first is language imposition.
24:323,300 crores withheld from Tamil Nadu via the new education policy.
24:42Money that is yours, that you should get, is being withheld from you by the government of India.
24:49Second, centralization.
24:53There is a 87% fall in Tamil medium students' share of MBBS seats because of NEET.
25:04Third, RSSification.
25:0770% of your state universities are without vice chancellors because the governor wants to ensure that RSS people run
25:20your universities.
25:21And finally, the latest act, representation, delimitation, which is designed to punish Tamil Nadu and reduce its voice in the
25:35national parliament.
25:36These are attacks on the people of Tamil Nadu, on your language, on your tradition, on your culture, on your
25:44history.
25:45And Modi uses fear, hatred and division to carry out these attacks.
25:55We are not going to let Narendra Modi attack the Tamil language, Tamil history, Tamil culture, nothing.
26:06He is not going to touch Tamil Nadu.
26:10Hello.
26:17Welcome.
26:18Welcome.
26:19Love you, Raga.
26:20Love you too.

28:32He realized that education was the only tool that can be used to come out of their poverty.
28:42And that was the one and that was highly believed by his sister as well.
28:48And that's why his parents made them study and four of Anita's brothers were graduates
28:55and Anita was also the one who believed in it
28:59and that's why she was the top scorer in her school
29:02and she scored 1176 marks out of 1200 in her public examination

32:14it is against forcing one exam on all states when states have different syllabus, different languages, different schools.
32:22it is against hidden inequality in out schools education, began to one common exam and it called it far.
32:32it is against an exam that makes coaching compulsory and makes school education useless.
32:38it is against an exam rewards money, not merit and it is against a system that eats up the years
32:47and the energy of the lack of students, especially repeaters, re-repeaters, all in the name of merit.

35:40He says that he has completed his post-graduation in English, but still he needs a translator to translate his
35:48words in English.
36:17And...
36:40He raises his questions on the new education policy that was introduced.
36:45And because of this, there was an imposition of three languages where they find it difficult to cope up with
36:52the two languages that was already in existence.
36:55And he faces lot of difficulties to cope up with those languages itself.
37:20He is worried about the privatization of education and also the new education policy that is very much...
37:29...a hindrance for the students of the rural background.
37:33And he is very much worried about that.
37:35Tell him not to worry about that.
37:39We are going to take care of the problem.
