00:00करते था रजी है, अजिए भी उंहिट करें कर्जा कारी कि Branaghgaj, किस्वेरा कर्फाड़ान, कारागंवी डाटी किरोंपर है, Bak≤
00:16लाग्ट तो अप्म कॉंग्रस प्रेसिंट कारगे जी, मम्ता जी, सुप्रिया सूले जी, बेबी जी,
00:30राजाजी, all the senior leaders who are here today,
00:37I'd also like to welcome and thank all the opposition members of parliament
00:46for what they have done, for what they have done over the last three, four days.
01:03Many years ago, I think from here itself, Jawaharlal Nehru gave a very famous speech
01:13called Trist with Destiny.
01:18It was given from the Central Hall of Parliament, 14th August 1947.
01:27I want to quote a little bit from it.
01:30It is a fateful moment for us in India, for all Asia and for the world.
01:38A new star rises, the star of freedom in the East.
01:43A new hope comes into being, a vision long cherished materializes.
01:54May this star never set and that hope never be betrayed.
02:29Then he says,
02:31We rejoice in that freedom, even though dark clouds surround us.
02:41I came into politics in 2004.
02:48It was a democratic, free country in 2004.
03:062014, we didn't even understand it then, something fundamental changed in India.
03:17And this, you will see that this is going to be known and proved to every single Indian.
03:30I was taught from when I was small, it was drilled into my mind every day, every day,
03:39that the most important thing for you is the expression of the people of India.
03:47This is how I was brought up.
03:51I was taught the names of every single state.
03:53I was taught the names of every single capital.
03:55And I was told that the most important thing in your life is going to be protecting the expression of
04:08the people of India.
04:09Not one state, not one state, not one language, not one history, not one tradition, every single person.
04:20And this is the idea with which I came into politics.
04:25And the framework that protected that idea was the democratic structure.
04:34We've seen elections.
04:36You've fought elections.
04:38Mamata ji has fought.
04:40Karge ji has fought.
04:42Election after election after election.
04:44And we know that you win elections and you lose elections.
04:50There is not a single politician in this room who does not think, my God, maybe one day I might
04:58lose an election.
05:00That is the nature of democracy.
05:05It is an expression of the people of India and the people of India change their mind.
05:12But from 2014, for some reason, that stopped happening.
05:19It stopped happening in state after state after state.
05:22Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra.
05:31And frankly, I must tell you, we were all in shock.
05:37I could not even bring myself to ask the question.
05:46To ask the question that, is it possible that Indian democracy has been destroyed?
05:54For me, this is fundamental pillar, not only of India, it's a fundamental pillar of my entire being.
06:05And so, even though I suspected it, I never said it.
06:11Many people would say it, ask the question, I never said it.
06:17It was only when I got proof, certain hundred percent proof, because I value the democratic structure in India.
06:31For me, to raise the question on that democratic structure is not something to be done lightly.
06:41And so, I waited, and I watched.
06:51And most of you do not realize this, but we have a large number of patriots who worked on this
06:58issue.
06:59Who worked in Haryana, who worked in Maharashtra, who worked in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh silently, who are still working.
07:10And then, one day, they came to me with black and white proof.
07:17They came to me with proof of deletions, of additions, of changes in the voter list.
07:28Not 10, 15, 20 people.
07:31Millions of people.
07:34And that is when I first started to raise the question.
07:38That there is a problem.
07:40There is a problem in the functioning of the democratic structure.
07:47Please understand, that if there is a problem in the functioning of the democratic structure,
07:56then the constitution no longer functions.
08:01If the constitution no longer functions,
08:05then every single law that has been made in that parliament over there is illegal.
08:11The constitutional position that has been placed is illegal.
08:17We have never entered this space before, ever.
08:21And we are entering it.
08:27So, we started to ask.
08:29And slowly, slowly, more and more people started to believe.
08:33And today, most of India believes.
08:38As you have seen.
08:40Most of India believes.
08:42That the star of Indian democracy, the star of Indian freedom, has set.
08:53Somebody said.
08:56That we have to think about electoral reforms.
09:02Don't think.
09:04That just by getting rid of Jyanesh Kumar.
09:08This problem is going to get solved.
09:11This problem is a much deeper problem.
09:15Than Mr. Jyanesh Kumar.
09:19This problem will require.
09:22The termination.
09:24Of the current government.
09:26And will require.
09:31And will require then.
09:34Years.
09:37Of repairing.
09:39The damage that has been done.
09:42Please.
09:43Understand.
09:46That this.
09:47Is an act of treason.
09:50This is an act against.
09:52Everything.
09:57That we stand for.
10:00It is an act.
10:01Against the expression.
10:02Of every single Indian.
10:06It is an act.
10:07Against the soul.
10:08Of this country.
10:11And.
10:13I can tell you.
10:16About myself.
10:17And I am certain.
10:19That all of you feel the same.
10:23This is something.
10:24That is worth.
10:25Fighting for.
10:26And worth dying for.
10:35Today.
10:36We are going to the president.
10:39Some days back.
10:40All the MPs of this.
10:42All the opposition MPs of this country.
10:44Every single one.
10:46Said they wanted to meet.
10:47The election commissioner.
10:51We were picked up.
10:54Taken away.
10:54And put into detention.
10:57Please understand.
11:00He is.
11:03The implementer.
11:04He is a service provider.
11:06To us.
11:09He is not some king.
11:12His job.
11:13Is to provide a service.
11:14To the people of India.
11:15And the elected representatives.
11:17Of the people of India.
11:20And he tells.
11:22The elected representatives of India.
11:24That he will not meet them.
11:27Who does he think he is?
11:30This is the voice.
11:31Of the people of India.
11:34You people represent.
11:35The voice.
11:36Of 65 percent.
11:37Of this country.
11:40And this man thinks.
11:41That he will tell you.
11:42That you cannot meet him.
11:45He is going to meet us.
11:47And you know where he is going to meet us?
11:48In the blooming prison cell.
11:50That way he is going to meet us.
11:56So.
11:58I am extremely proud.
11:59Of what you have done.
12:02You are right now.
12:04Underestimating.
12:05What you have done.
12:07As a group.
12:11You have shaken.
12:13The foundation.
12:14Of this government.
12:16And.
12:17If we continue to push.
12:20The same way.
12:21We have been pushing.
12:23For the last.
12:24Three four days.
12:28I guarantee you.
12:29This government will fall.
12:32Because.
12:34Standing with us.
12:35Is the expression.
12:37Of the people of India.
12:39We are not.
12:41Anything.
12:43Without the support.
12:45Of the people of India.
12:47And we have.
12:48The full support.
12:49Of the people of India.
12:54I'd like to thank.
12:55Once again.
12:56All the seniors.
12:56Who have come.
12:58From Bengal.
13:00From Kashmir.
13:01From Kerala.
13:02From other states.
13:03Thank you very much.
13:04And.
13:05It's an honor for me.
13:06To be working with all of you.
