00:03Your mom's over there.
00:09I'm basically a shy person.
00:12It's counter to my personality
00:13to shoot a documentary.
00:16The last thing I want is to
00:17constantly be in people's way,
00:19especially to Sofia.
00:21Action!
00:23How are you feeling about all this?
00:25It's a little rusty the first day.
00:27That's cute!
00:28Can you believe it?
00:30Sofia looks too small and unprepossessing
00:33to be the director of a $40 million movie.
00:35It's definitely overwhelming.
00:38This is a tradition
00:39that we do in my family before
00:41every movie, for good luck.
00:43Pull up!
00:44Pull up!
00:47I used to pull off what we're
00:48trying to do, but
00:50if not, I tried.
00:54Do you have any advice for her?
00:56She should just be throwing a Marie Antoinette
00:58party and invite everyone to come to it.
01:00My husband and children are directors.
01:02I become the audience.
01:05Maneuvering ever so slightly
01:07to keep things smooth.
01:10Do you think it was alright?
01:11It was great.
01:12It was part of the creative process.
01:14The self-doubt.
01:16Your Sofia is a little bit naughty.
01:18She's got a twinkle in her eye.
01:22That was good.
01:26I love watching my mom watch kids film
01:28in this one finally.
01:29It's like she'll go off when I can enter it.
01:32At my age,
01:33shouldn't I be engaged in my own creative process?
01:37I'm an observer at heart.
01:39The miniature world in my viewfinder
01:41is constantly fascinating to me.
01:45And cut.
01:46Let's get out of here.
01:48Let's go.
01:48It's a long time.
01:50Good night, mama.
