00:00With all the talk about Manchester City, eyes have been averted away from Southampton's Spygate scandal.
00:08The Saints manager, Tonda Eckert, has been fined £28,000 and handed a suspended six-week ban for his role
00:17in the club's Spygate scandal.
00:20The manager admitted authorising the observation of training sessions at Oxford, Ipswich and Middlesbrough.
00:26Southampton were expelled from last season's championship play-offs and ducked four points for the start of this campaign.
00:34Here's what the manager had to say about the findings.
00:38Well, I've made a mistake and I've said that relatively quickly.
00:45And then I think you just, you have to accept whatever the consequence is.
00:49So I think the only thing that was up for me is then to give my version to the story.
00:57And I'm happy that the commission listened.
01:00But in the end, if you make a mistake, it's not for me to judge the consequence.
01:06So I have to take whatever comes my way.
01:10And yeah, I'm very happy that we go into Sunday into one of the biggest games that we will have
01:18all season and we have clarity.
01:20And that's not just for me. I think that's for everyone involved in this football club.
01:23It's tough. It changes your life. If I would say that it's been all easy from the very moment, it's
01:30not, but you have to find a way.
01:31I think that you need to come to a conclusion at one point in the summer of how you want
01:35to continue.
01:37And that first decision was not for me, but was for the club to make a decision of how the
01:41club wants to continue.
01:42It's not for me to continue.
