00:00Hey everyone!
00:01If you're building a new diorama or just looking for a super satisfying weekend painting project,
00:06you know how tough it can be to find crisp, high-detail resin sculpts that don't cost an arm and
00:11a leg.
00:12Well, I did some digging and rounded up the top 5 resin figures for diorama painting
00:16with the absolute best deals and sculpt quality out there right now.
00:20Let's jump right in!
00:22First up, we have this 1 16th scale Vietnam War US Army Infantry figure.
00:27What immediately stands out is the crisp fabric folds and realistic gear detail on his webbing
00:32in uniform, which makes etch highlighting and applying washes an absolute breeze.
00:37At just $11.72, it's an incredible value, especially considering 1 16th scale kits are usually double
00:45that price. If you're planning a lush jungle scene or a gritty historical base, this guy will fit
00:51right into the center of the action. Next on the list is something for the fantasy lovers,
00:56and 80mm Dungeon Dwarf Assembly Kit. The best feature here is hands down the sheer amount
01:02of personality packed into the sculpt, from the rugged braided beard to the heavy,
01:06textured armor plates, it's a drybrushers dream. Sitting at an even $16 with a flawless 5-star
01:12rating, it's totally worth buying because the larger 80mm scale gives you plenty of room to
01:17practice realistic metallics and weathered leather without straining your eyes.
01:21If you prefer painting busts, you're going to love this 1 10th scale Ziwana Female Archer.
01:27The highlight of this piece is definitely the clean facial anatomy and flowing hair sculpt,
01:31giving you the perfect canvas to practice smooth skin tones and subtle eye work.
01:36Believe it or not, it's priced at only $6.62, which is an insane bargain for a 1 10th scale
01:42bust.
01:43It's a great pickup if you want a low-risk, high-reward display piece to mount on a wooden
01:48plinth. Coming in at number 4, we're heading back to military dioramas with this 1 16th scale
01:54U.S. Army radio operator. The star feature is all the intricate mechanical detail on the
02:00communications gear, the dials, straps, and handset are molded sharp and require virtually
02:04zero cleanup. At just $11.01, it's worth grabbing because storytelling is key in dioramas,
02:11and having a soldier actively calling in coordinates instantly adds a layer of tension
02:15and drama to your scene. Rounding out the top 5 is this 60mm dwarf hunter figure.
02:22What makes this piece really shine is the rich variety of organic textures, you get thick fur
02:26pelts, stitched leather straps, and rugged weaponry, all deeply etched so your washes flow naturally
02:32into the recesses. Coming in at $12.78 with stellar reviews, it's well worth adding to your workbench
02:39because it strikes that sweet spot between tabletop size and showcase-level detailing,
02:43making it ideal for snowy wilderness or rocky mountain bases.
