00:05pro wrestling 2026 live from cork and hall my name is walker steward of alongside the
00:11professor of pro wrestling himself chris charlton chris
00:14thank you
00:15thank you
00:16we are set here tonight another night of road the king of pro wrestling action here in kodak
00:21uen and another young lion belt
00:2610th career matchup for young lion yushin hatazawa third ever in cork and
00:31hall and looking for a first ever victory
00:34and it's going to be hard fought against yet another young lion no longer the youngest of the crop
00:38is taisei nakahara
00:52as we welcome our japanese broadcast team the incredible harua murata mulatto collection at and gato
00:57i'm walker steward i'm alongside chris charlton chris it is yet another
01:01fight six singles encounter between yushin hatazawa and taisei nakahara
01:05yeah as you alluded to 5-0 is nakahara and i would say almost nailed on that
01:12it will be 6-0 by the end of the evening but we'll see whether hatazawa
01:15can get closer to that 10-minute time limit here tonight a draw would be as good as a
01:20Windows
01:22that said hatazawa has the obviously distinct size advantage trending heavyweight right around 95 kilograms
01:29to nakahara's decided foot junior heavyweight series yeah indeed six tall hokkaido native
01:35yushin hatazawa got to fight all throughout his native hokkaido over the battle
01:39line hokkaido series we just had yeah i think that's always a great boost to any
01:44athlete nakahara was very gutted earlier on in this year where he wasn't allowed to wrestle
01:49in front of his own crowds in uh for koka so let's have that little boost that might
01:54various
01:54and even a good little bit of home cooking you know i mean i think hatazawa has been
01:58away from home over this entire sort of period when he was training in the noge dojo so
02:03you know a little bit of a chance to you know go be with his family eat some nice home
02:09cooked meals that could set you up to win this one
02:12yeah no doubt about it as you see taise nakahara leadership comes from the top down ch
02:17ris charlton and nakahara has spoken heavily about influence from
02:21the likes of riohe oyoa that's been taken to will be seeing riohe
02:24oyoa later on in the night but nakahara really locking in this side headlock
02:27and we'll see whether that leadership comes from the very top with the
02:31will be oh iwgp heavyweight champion five days from now that is a massive main event
02:40oyoa cg3 in nio goki and we're talking about the top prize in
02:45the heavyweight division to the top prize in
02:47the junior division our main event tonight chris charlton yo will defend the iwgp
02:52young heavyweight
02:52championship against robbie x robbie x's first ever challenge for iwgp junior heavyweight
02:58Gold
02:58had a little chance to spend some time with robbie x early on this afternoon asked whether he was
03:04nervous he said you know what not really not at all just a lot more excitement says he thrives
03:10under
03:10pressure certainly highest at any point in his career pressure coming up in our main event some nice
03:16rallies here by had is hour but nakahara getting right back in there even against heavyweight strikes
03:21that's the difference in experience it's not just size but form and you saw that with that big
03:28chop there
03:28i really like what we've been seeing out of nakahara recently as here comes the cover
03:33two count on yushin hatazawa now chris it's hatazawa is going to
03:37celebrate his 21st birthday the night
03:39after our ryo goku sumo hall event that's october 13th certainly an early birthday
03:44present going
03:44have to be earned for hatazawa in this singles fight tonight it just goes to show the depth
03:48the youth
03:49that we have coming out of an ok dojo it's true i actually spent a little bit of
03:53time in the dojo last
03:54week and uh it was very crowded in there i mean there was a lot of guys in and out
03:59uh the shanko
04:01rotation is pretty deep at the moment and uh so that's great in one sense for the uh for
04:07The Boys
04:07it's less chores in your in your rotation but at the same time it's harder than ever to
04:13get a spot
04:14here's a cover one and a two count there and nakahara going to scramble back on
04:19top
04:20and one of these days this is going to work for you chris he might forget to keep out
04:24Oh, but he did, yeah, I mean.
04:28this is a situation as well where we're expecting the full the complete niogoku card coming
04:33up
04:33tomorrow uh right about 1 p.m you want to check njpw1972.com and social
04:39s but i mean this could be
04:41an opportunity for both of these guys you show up and you make a mark you might get on like
04:46a kickoff
04:47match or opening contest and nakahara would love to put himself in prime position for that seeking
04:52a sixth singles victory over young lion yushin hatazawa the only man that nakahara
04:57has been able
04:58to beat over the course of his career
05:03nakahara filled with confidence great technique that we're seeing on that single leg crowd and
05:08hatazawa going to utilize that leverage advantage or rather that size advantage six foot tall and
05:13reaching right to that bottom rope for the break chris and nakahara went with the uh the
05:18single
05:19legged boston crab probably you know i mean a little sweet probably with the size in mind of
05:24hatakawa
05:24but it made it easier for him to push out and get to the bottom rope there
05:29as i say nakahara cannot be feeling good after being submitted last night in our opening match by
05:34yoshinobu kanamaru oh that shotgun dropkick is something ain't it yeah i
05:40mean the one thing
05:41look at this right on the neck of young lion nakahara here's the cover in a count
05:48of two
05:49and we spoke about yesterday how important the senton has become to heavyweights here in new
05:54japan pro wrestling over the last year or so and it's interesting to see how to tell having
05:59a Poland
06:00more diverse offense than most other young lions get and that's a deep boston crab right there nice
06:06deep
06:07squat great size on the kid is yushin hadazawa has keeping it tight in the center
06:12of the ring
06:13that boston crab i mean that's the kind of form the low center of gravity you get i
06:17mean the sumo
06:18background for hadazawa coming out there and that's really assisting with this boston crab see if
06:23he can
06:23walk in and he does center of the ring yushin hadazawa could be closing in on
06:29his first ever
06:29career victory right live in cork and hall
06:34as nakahara scrambles to that bottom rope and that will force the break
06:38every single one of these holds being broken via the ropes chris it's a little out of frustration
06:42on both sides well yeah that's true at the same time we're well just about halfway home in
06:48the time
06:49here hadazawa has probably given his three best shots at this point so it might be tough in
06:57the rally
06:57from here the longest time these two men have gone eight minutes 41 seconds oh look at a surpassing
07:07class here we are drop kick for tyson akahara into the cover here for the young lion
07:13still not enough
07:24nakahara has said multiple times in post-match comments it's not about the flash and
07:29flare it's
07:29about the technique that he shows in this ring
07:35classic pro wrestling there that body slam we just saw from nakahara and right back into boston
07:40now the double leg now let's see we saw the benefit of hadazawa's lower body whether
07:46he has the
07:47upper if he can push out underneath that's it yeah can you crawl
08:00drag right back into the lion's den and tyson akahara a sixth straight victory over y
08:07ushinhadaguard
08:21and then he was like he's saying it walker but there's something about nakahara i
08:28see a little bit of a
08:29young red narrative in nakahara the way he used to work as a young lion and probably that
08:35same respect for form
08:38but then again you never know the more your career goes on it could be a standard barrier for
08:45technical supremacy or he could break bad as narrated in that's the thing it's the start of
08:51a
08:51long long journey for both of these men long long ways still to go uh young lion tyson ak
08:57ahara with the
08:57win it is yushin hadazawa better luck next time and you talk about rio he
09:01ioyawa chris later on in the night
09:03we will be seeing rio heioyawa preview for the final time the upcoming heavyweight championship
09:08main event in ryokoku sumo hall against yoda suji but we will also see tonight
09:13The greeting, the top star
09:15of vietnam pro wrestling the unstoppable force aries makes his new japan pro wrestling debut
09:21can't wait for that all of it and so much more live on njpw world
09:24can't wait for that all of it at least before the Darren Ro
