00:20which Amazon said it completely reimagined the display from the ground up,
00:24meaning you can hold this tablet in light
00:28and there won't be any kind of glare or glossiness.
00:31They say it makes for a much more premium experience
00:34when you're watching movies
00:36or entering into Kindle mode where you read books.
00:40It's got Alexa completely infused throughout,
00:43so you can access Alexa through Amazon's dynamic tab here
00:48or through a chat window at the bottom,
00:51similar to, you know, the likes of ChatGPT or Claude.
00:55Amazon is really making Alexa the centerpiece of this tablet,
01:00not only in the name and just in terms of how this device is designed.
01:04It's got a lot of familiar features that folks might be used to
01:08with an iPad or an Android tablet
01:10in that you can access all your apps from a dock here,
01:14organize them how you like.
01:16In addition to entertainment, Amazon is really making productivity
01:20a focus of this device, so you can run multiple apps in the same window at one time.
01:26Amazon says the camera is good enough to run your Zoom calls.
01:29And you do have the option for a little more to get a keyboard and a stylus
01:34to do even more with this device.
01:37Amazon's SVP of devices told us that Amazon is completely reimagining their line of tablets
01:43and is doing it at a time when there's been a real wave of AI and computing.
01:47He said Amazon spared no expense with the design of this product,
01:51but it also comes as device makers are grappling with historic high prices of memory components.
01:58Alongside the Alexa tablet, Amazon is also launching a refreshed lineup of kids' tablets
02:03where they say kids can safely, you know, browse the web, use Alexa in a firewalled environment
02:09where parents can control what they can and can't see.
02:13Amazon's offering three different models for the Alexa tablet,
02:16the 8, 11, and the 12, and those will run you between 150 to as much as 550.
02:22And the highest-end model is this Nano Matte 12, which comes with that matte display.
02:28For 450, you'll get the glossier screen version of the 12.
02:33You can pre-order this today and it'll launch October 14th.
