00:00C'est parti !
00:30On his face, he's made his first final of the Best of Super Junior Tournament.
00:35Will Robbie Eagles join him?
00:39Winner take all here at our main event.
01:04An all-important rematch from the MetLife Dome.
01:08In the last round, the 6-0, 4-0, 8-0, 12-0.
01:13The IWGP Junior TAC champion, the Sniper of the Sky, Robin Eagleson.
01:27Robbie comes in tonight with a Best of Super Junior all-time record of 15-13.
01:44If Robbie gets the victory, he'll move to 14 points and he'll face Yeo in Wednesday's final.
01:49If Hiromu Takahashi wins, he'll go to 15 points and face Yeo.
02:22Ah, what a book.
02:23I hope there's an extra page for the finals.
02:28The defending champion.
02:37And a rematch from the MetLife Dome.
02:39Hiromu was still playing his way back into shape after missing so much time.
02:44Thanks to that pec tear and the surgery.
02:49And Robbie got a successful defense of the Junior Heavyweight Championship.
03:15It all comes down to this.
03:45It's been a great day.
03:47C'est parti.
04:19Robby started slowly in this tournament, but he has gained momentum throughout, especially
04:30in the last week.
04:40And a collar and elbow tie-up to begin our main event.
04:53Neither Robby nor Hiromu were able to defeat El Desperado.
04:58Hiromu went to a 30-minute draw.
05:02Desperado got the victory over Eagles.
05:06And Robby has been on a mission, especially over the last couple of weeks of this tournament,
05:11to get back that Junior Heavyweight Championship.
05:17That's what the winner of the Best of the Super Junior Tournament will have the opportunity
05:21to do at Wrestle Kingdom.
05:28And I think that Hiromu comes in as a lot of people's favorites to win this tonight, to
05:35win the tournament.
05:36Goes for the leg.
05:37Oh, baits him in perfectly.
05:40Leg sweep.
05:45Reversed.
05:47Leapfrog.
05:48Up over and through.
05:51And the trip.
05:58Eagles with the leapfrog.
05:59Ah, but he stops it.
06:01Yeah!
06:02Oh!
06:03Ah!
06:04Ah!
06:06Early thoughts of the Ron Miller special.
06:09Hiromu slides out to the floor.
06:16Ah!
06:17Ah!
06:20Ah!
06:21Ah!
06:24Ah!
06:25Ah!
06:25Ah!
06:25Ah!
06:28Ah!
06:29Ah!
07:02Slung to the neutral corner.
07:04Referee Renchu Zuno, ici, dans notre main event.
07:18All Hiromu has to do is not lose.
07:24If he wins or if it goes the 30 minute draw, he's through.
07:28If Eagles gets the win,
07:31he'll face Yo.
07:48And the hard hands of Hiromu Takahashi already showing.
07:55The Eagles with a nifty reverse there and takes him over.
08:00Lerana puts Hiromu down.
08:04Catches him on the chin and Roby Eagles coming in in fantastic shape.
08:09Neither man has been affected, overtly I would say,
08:16from the number of matches they have had.
08:24Hiromu's showing that he's in prime form after defeating Doki the other night
08:31in just 20 minutes.
08:32Yes, it was a 20 minute match.
08:34but when Hiromu first came back,
08:38he almost went full 30 minutes with Doki.
08:42And he was able to shave over nine minutes off of that time
08:47for the same result.
09:00Eagles showing he's adept at throwing chops into the chest as well.
09:10But that's not the matchup that Eagles wants.
09:15You don't want to get into a chop exchange with Hiromu.
09:35Looking for the double knees, but instead gets boosted up over the top, connects with the Enziguri.
09:44Cross kick into the midsection.
09:49Hurricanrana this time from Hiromu takes Eagles over.
09:52Roby, of course, will look to get on the knee of Hiromu.
09:57Set up for the Ron Miller special.
10:01Hiromu Takahashi has more finishing moves than wrestlers have moves.
10:06But he's been using that guillotine throughout this tournament that he calls Deet as a submission finisher,
10:16in addition to the two varieties of Time Bomb and Victory Royal and Dynamite Plunger, etc.
10:24Eagles sent all the way to the floor through the ropes.
10:29And this is the wild style of Hiromu now.
10:35Shotgun drop kick off the apron.
10:51The win, the successful defense of the junior heavyweight title for Roby, gave him a tremendous amount of confidence.
10:59And when he dropped the title to El Desperado at Power Struggle, you could see that it affected him as
11:06the tournament got underway.
11:10Falconeiro in the center of the ring.
11:13Eagles able to kick out.
11:20And Roby was just sort of middling along.
11:25And then got real hot after dropping the decision to El Desperado again.
11:39Going to look to jab. Eagles in the corner, but Eagles slips off.
11:44Another snapping kick.
11:46Second now.
11:47Standing Shiranoi.
11:48No.
11:49Hiromu's strength.
11:51Looking to capitalize here.
11:56Eagles patient, but now gets caught.
12:01And we're going to see Deet.
12:03Yes, sir.
12:04There it is.
12:16And when you establish that submission finisher the way Hiromu has over the years.
12:23It just gives you so many different directions to go.
12:27And Eagles is looking to find the rope.
12:36And then Red Shoes asking him if he wants to submit.
12:40This is one of those moves though that could put you out in the blink of an eye.
12:45And Eagles, before he faded any further towards unconsciousness, does get the boot on the bottom rope.
13:09And Eagles again slips off and cuts the knee.
13:12And now Eagles.
13:15The elbow connects to the back of Hiromu's head.
13:18So much of what Eagles, the setup basically for the Ron Miller can be.
13:24Drop kick to the knee, a 450 splash on the knee.
13:27But he uses the turbo backpack to position his opponent for its application.
13:33And it wasn't until the Bushi match that he was finally able to hit the turbo backpack for the first
13:39time in the whole tournament.
13:41And since then he's been, he's been money with that.
13:52That's what Eagles can do best, stay away from the power of Hiromu.
13:57Go for the Shining Wizard, Hiromu catches the leg.
14:04Eagles reverses.
14:07That makes it count.
14:11Leglarian puts Hiromu down in ten minutes in.
14:22Robi et Hiromu ont eu un match de la fin de l'année dernière, et Hiromu ont eu le win,
14:29mais, boy, Robi, all the praise was coming his way, no doubt about it.
14:36Here we go, Robi Eagle soaring through the ropes.
14:42He looks like a very confident man right now, does Robi Eagle.
15:01One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
15:12Eight, nine, ten, seven, eight, nine, ten, seven.
15:21Robi wants to get Hiromu back into the ring, but boy, oh boy.
15:29I know he wants to win the right way and there's nothing wrong with that,
15:32but I don't think Hiromu would have gotten back in.
15:34Nifty cover there, kick out of two.
15:39Maybe he was sandbagging Robby a little bit.
15:43Again, double count-out, one each, and Hiromu's through.
15:51All Hiromu has to do to make the finals is avoid being beaten.
15:56Robby has to defeat Hiromu.
16:03And again, he could have won by count-out, but chose not to.
16:09And he goes really scoring with those kicks.
16:25Looking for the double knees in the corner.
16:27Here he is. Here he comes.
16:29Nails it.
16:31Second time.
16:346-1-9. First on the camera, then on the back of Hiromu's legs.
16:40Now a double knee strike. My goodness, he got all of it.
16:58There comes Hiromu flying across, and the shotgun dropkick puts Eagles down.
17:07Just when you think you've got Hiromu Takahashi where you want him,
17:12it's almost as if you've done nothing to him.
17:15He has incredible recuperative ability.
17:19Fakes Eagles out.
17:21Eagles reverses him.
17:23Tries to throw him into the corner.
17:24Eagles. Uh-oh. Eagles got caught in between, and now Hiromu can make him pay.
17:34Poisonrata.
17:42Robbie was checking his proximity to the ropes.
17:44Oh, no!
17:46And Eagles gets caught.
17:47But I wondered if Eagles, for a second, up on the shoulders of Hiromu,
17:52thought about going over backwards over the top rope.
17:55We've seen Hiromu do that from time to time.
17:58But eventually, Robbie would take the full rotation over and drop Hiromu on his head.
18:04But you can see, again, Hiromu's recuperative ability.
18:07As Eagles charges in, thinks he's got Hiromu right where he wants him,
18:11it's Eagles who winds up getting spun into that corner, landing on his head.
18:25Robbie might be in his best interest if he did drop off the ring for a few seconds.
18:32But that certainly isn't going to stop Hiromu, and neither will being out on the edge of the ring.
18:57Robbie might have been wide open as they strike each other here on the edge of the ring.
19:06And Robbie.
19:11Hiromu answers.
19:13Eagles now vulnerable.
19:15Thrust kick caught.
19:16Turbo backpack.
19:18Uh-oh!
19:20This not the setup for the run.
19:21Miller.
19:22Hang on, German suplex.
19:24No.
19:24Swing.
19:25Miss.
19:25Up on his shoulders.
19:27Watch out.
19:28Death belly driver, perhaps.
19:29Oh, God!
19:39And all the wind driven out of Robbie Eagles there.
19:42Oh, boy.
19:50Oh, boy.
19:52One.
19:53Two.
19:55Three.
19:56Four.
19:58Five.
19:59Six.
20:01Seven.
20:02Australia's top junior heavyweight, Robbie Eagles.
20:07Struggling.
20:09Having had the wind knocked out of him.
20:12And he is realizing he's got to win.
20:18Trying to get in to break the count.
20:20Wait a minute.
20:20Hiromu.
20:22Oh, wait a minute.
20:24Oh, how about that double knee strike from Eagles?
20:29Able to avoid the sunset bomb, which would have been absolute curtains for Eagles.
20:39And Hiromu absorbing the double knees, as well as being nailed spine first to the edge of the ring.
20:53And now both men are down, both very close to the ring, as we can see.
20:58But neither looks like they're in any shape to get back in the ring anytime soon.
21:09And now Eagles back on his feet.
21:12Just, oh, he doesn't get in the ring.
21:14He grabs Hiromu and rolls it back in.
21:17That's the second time Eagles has done the right thing.
21:23But has tossed himself in the process.
21:25Drop kick on the knee, and there we go.
21:28So it all worked out for Eagles now, who will set the Ron Miller special.
21:33No, wait a minute.
21:34Inside cradle, too.
21:38Thrust kick.
21:39Eagles now will look for the 450.
21:42How in the world is he going to be able to hit it?
21:44You see Hiromu.
21:45He knows exactly where Eagles wants to go.
21:49And just desperate to keep Eagles grounded.
21:56A second thrust kick.
21:58And this time Eagles will skip over the top rope.
22:03And set for the 450.
22:08But Hiromu gets his knees up.
22:12Robbie takes the brunt of it, but Hiromu's knee is compromised nevertheless.
22:17And it's enough for Eagles to get back on and now apply the Ron Miller special.
22:22What toughness being shown by Robbie Eagles.
22:28In spite of the fact that he landed on Hiromu's knee gut first,
22:32he was able to get on Hiromu here with the Ron Miller.
22:40And turning Hiromu away from the ropes.
22:46If Eagles wins, he is in.
22:49Wednesday's final for the best of the Super Junior 28.
22:53He will eliminate the defending champion, Hiromu Takahashi.
23:11It would be the second time Hiromu has been submitted in this tournament.
23:15He lost via tap out to Ishimori.
23:22But Hiromu gets that bottom rope.
23:30Oh boy.
23:31But the damage done.
23:36And Eagles, of course,
23:39had that hold on the entire time.
23:41His gut was screaming.
23:46He's going to go right back to the Ron Miller.
23:49But Hiromu trying to keep him at bay.
24:00Uh-oh, Hiromu.
24:02Oh, he's on his feet.
24:03Catches side of the head with a thrust kick.
24:08So less than 10 minutes remain in the time.
24:11And if Hiromu can last,
24:14and we go to a 30-minute draw,
24:16he's through to the finals.
24:17And Eagles is eliminated.
24:19Oh.
24:23Eagles has to win
24:24in order to eliminate Hiromu
24:26and advance to the finals himself.
24:30Oh.
24:46Oh.
24:51Eagles still has something on that shot.
24:55Hiromu's lagging a little bit behind.
24:59Eagles got to take advantage of this situation.
25:03But Hiromu is a premier striker.
25:06Oh.
25:09Oh.
25:12Oh.
25:13Oh.
25:14Oh.
25:14Oh.
25:17Oh.
25:22Back to the knee.
25:25Standing Shiranoi.
25:27No.
25:27Hiromu avoids.
25:28Oh.
25:29And Robby was coming in with a knee strike.
25:32And Hiromu caught it flush with a lariat.
25:38But Eagles is shaking it off.
25:40Cross kick.
25:41No.
25:41Caught by Hiromu.
25:46Oh.
25:46He did miss that time.
25:50Well, I'll tell you.
25:52Well, I'll tell you.
25:53Matches involving Bullet Club and the House of Torture, I am thankful for this palate cleanser.
26:00A great competitive main event between two premier athletes up on the shoulders and driven into
26:08the corner.
26:09That's the setup for Hiromu now to move forward.
26:14But will he be able to?
26:16If anybody can gut through the pain of injury, it's Hiromu Takahashi.
26:26Time bomb.
26:27No.
26:30Sunset flip.
26:31Perfectly positioned and near fall.
26:35Waist lock.
26:37Roll up.
26:38And another near fall.
26:41Oh, but the thrust kick was there.
26:44Robby had been counter punching beautifully.
26:47But now the end is near.
26:50And wait a minute.
26:50Wait a minute.
26:51Eagles fighting.
26:52Trying.
26:57Hiromu looking.
26:58Time bomb two.
26:58No.
26:58And a second reposition.
27:00Victory Royal.
27:01Again.
27:01Another block.
27:02Another answer from Eagles.
27:04And now a pair of kicks.
27:05Make it three.
27:07Hiromu's still on his feet, but out on his feet.
27:14Yes.
27:16And it's Eagles with a thunderous clothesline to drive Hiromu down.
27:35Standing sure noise.
27:36This time he gets it.
27:39Cover.
27:40Two.
27:41Two.
27:42And he kicks out.
27:44But immediately looking to set him up for the turbo backpack, which he hits.
27:49He hits the turbo backpack.
27:51Two.
27:51Oh, he kicked out.
27:53Oh, he kicked.
27:58One.
28:01Oh, he doesn't.
28:03Oh, he understood.
