00:00I'm joined by Trev Celleber.
00:02Oh, it's here actually, Rob. I don't know why.
00:12Usual housekeeping rules apply.
00:14Two questions per person. We'll start with Rob.
00:16Trevor, great to see you.
00:18I mean, look, I know you want to play in every single game,
00:20and you would have wanted to play in that game in Croatia,
00:22but it was quite a special England performance to watch,
00:27and there were only 100 England fans in there to watch it,
00:29so you were as privileged as us to watch it.
00:32I wanted to get a defender's perspective, please,
00:35on England's attacking four at the moment.
00:37What makes them as dangerous as they are,
00:39and do you believe they're the best in the world right now?
00:42Yeah, they're showing a very high level at the moment.
00:46Just goes to show that what they're doing at the club is amazing also.
00:50So then obviously bringing that into the camp,
00:53into that game, watching from the bench, it was breathtaking.
00:58It could have been more goals.
00:59And that's the scary thing about it.
01:01And yeah, to have those players in our team is amazing.
01:06You have to defend against them in training quite a lot.
01:08Yeah.
01:09Yeah, obviously, yeah,
01:11defending against those players is only going to improve us defenders,
01:14you know, so it's a good thing we have them on our team
01:16and not in our position.
01:18What we saw and what Harry Kane told us afterwards is there's a new fluidity
01:22that they've been trying to work where they all cover for each other
01:24and they could pop up.
01:25You know, Harry Kane was dropping deep.
01:27Duke Belling was going up at number nine beyond Harry Kane at times.
01:29How difficult is that from a defender's perspective to try?
01:33Yeah, it's very difficult.
01:34And that's not something that's trained also.
01:37It just happens because of their IQ,
01:39because of the way they just understand each other.
01:42It's a thing that just comes naturally and, yeah,
01:44it's difficult to stop.
01:45And as I said, it's good that we have them on our team.
01:48Hi, Trevor.
01:49You've made the move to Como now,
01:52so how has that been and how will that move help you,
01:54do you think, playing for England going forward?
01:56Oh, yeah, it's been amazing so far.
01:58It's different.
01:59Obviously, playing abroad before in my loan spells in France,
02:03it obviously feels a bit similar in terms of the culture, the language.
02:06And, yeah, I'm loving it so far, every minute.
02:10And it's a good thing that a lot of us England players as well
02:12are playing abroad to bring that experience into the camp.
02:16And, yeah, it's been good.
02:17A lot of the players that are playing abroad at the moment
02:19have performed well in this camp.
02:20Do you think there's something in there,
02:22or it's just a coincidence?
02:23No, I just think it's just the level that they're showing,
02:25you know, that they've had to then bring into the camp.
02:30And it's something special.
02:32I'm sorry about Andy from ITB News.
02:33Hope you're well.
02:34Well, you'll have obviously seen the sad news about Alex and Esri
02:38withdrawing from the squad.
02:39How much of a topic are injuries among the players?
02:42Because it's not just England players withdrawing.
02:44We've seen Haaland pull out for Norway as well.
02:47You know, is there too much football being played, do you think?
02:50Well, you could say that, or it's just unfortunate, you know.
02:54You know, football's unpredictable in terms of injuries.
02:56You can never know.
02:57You can be feeling great.
02:58You can be doing everything right, but then things happen, you know.
03:02So, us, you've lost those two players now.
03:04They're massive players and massive part of the squad.
03:07And with this, it's that we have players that are ready to go.
03:10You know, I'm ready to step in.
03:12But do you personally feel happy with your workload?
03:16Do you feel like you're fit and raring to go?
03:19Or do you feel like you're playing too much football?
03:20Yeah, I feel like I'm happy, I'm ready to go, I'm fit.
03:25As I said, everyone looks after their body, you know.
03:26As I said, it's an unfortunate thing when it comes to injuries.
03:29It can just happen, you know.
03:30So, yeah.
03:31Good luck for tomorrow.
03:33Gary, thanks.
03:37Trevor, Tuchel's talked about talking to you all about what you want the identity of this England team to be
03:42and the key adjustments you've made since the World Cup.
03:45Can you elaborate on what those are?
03:47Certainly fluidity and responsibility as well.
03:50I think, yeah, definitely.
03:52Reflecting from the World Cup, we all realise that, obviously, we need to have a 90-minute performance.
03:58It's something that we, obviously, decided that we need to be doing more often now.
04:05And, obviously, we showed that in the Croatia game.
04:07And for us, it's just about that consistency, you know.
04:09Just to go in the game and do that throughout the 90 minutes.
04:13And in order for us to take that next step, which I think this is key for us to do.
04:19Now, the Czechia coach was famously the Spanish youth coach.
04:23Helped transform this Spanish side that we now see.
04:26The world champions won an Olympic gold with them.
04:29He's talked about what he sees.
04:31England is one of the top three teams.
04:33He believes the World Cup finals are in their future, potentially winning the World Cup.
04:37And that Spain also had to make those key adjustments.
04:39He's said this week that Anthony Gordon reminds him of Lamine Jamal because of the level he's playing at.
04:46What do you make of that as a person that goes man-to-man with him?
04:51Yeah, Gordon's on a high level at the moment.
04:53Obviously, when you're playing in a Barcelona team, you're only going to improve.
04:57He's showing his qualities.
04:59And I said it's good that we have him on our team.
05:01And as I said, the fluidity that that front man has is really good.
05:05And, yeah, he's just going to keep getting better and better.
05:09Go back to the third row.
05:13Hi, Trevor.
05:14Tyra from BCombs.
05:15So your faith has been quite a visible part of your journey, inspiring, I would say.
05:22How has your relationship with God shaped how you approach football and life in general?
05:27For me, it's the key.
05:29I think it's what I have really in me.
05:31It's what I've carried me everywhere I go in terms of any setbacks, in terms of any struggles.
05:37And I feel like it's a journey that I love.
05:42For me, it's one thing that I enjoy the setbacks or I enjoy those moments where things aren't going your
05:48way.
05:48Because I feel that's a way of God shaping you, God making you.
05:51And for me, if it wasn't for that, then I won't be where I am today.
05:55And it's important to be grounded also, especially to have a family where obviously my faith has been implemented in
06:05us.
06:05And, yeah, for me, it's the number one.
06:10And secondly, I guess you sort of touched on it just a minute ago.
06:14What message, obviously I don't want to put you on the spot with a Bible verse, but what message would
06:17you sort of have for someone who needs to sort of understand how to sort of stay grounded during like
06:24a period?
06:25I would say Matthew 13, 7.
06:27You may not know now, but later on you're on the sun.
06:30So I think in that situation that I'm in, I may not know what's going on at the moment, but
06:36I know once I get through that, I'll know exactly what God was doing and the reason why I was
06:41going through that.
06:42Thank you. God bless.
06:45Hi, Trevor. It's Ami from BCOMS.
06:48You've had to stay patient for many different opportunities throughout your career.
06:51I wanted to know, how do you keep the mindset of believing in your ability and staying ready, even when
06:55you may not get the minutes and opportunities that you wish?
06:59Again, for me, it's my faith that that keeps me ready and keeps me keeps me ready for what's to
07:05come.
07:06And yes, as a footballer, it's important to always be ready.
07:10You never know what happens.
07:13Throughout my career has been like that, whether if I'm playing or whether I'm out the team or I'm not
07:19getting minutes.
07:20I know my time will come and for us players, it's important when you do get that time to take
07:25it with both hands.
07:28Any other questions?
07:30Nope, I think we're done.
07:31Thank you very much.
07:32Cheers.
07:32Thanks.
