00:00Okay, if you're getting into pixel lighting, addressable LED modules are where the magic
00:04happens each little light is individually controllable, which means you can program
00:08any color, any animation, any effect you can dream up. The problem is there are about a
00:13million options out there, so I dug through the listings and found the top 5 addressable
00:17LED modules that people are actually buying and loving. Let's get into it.
00:23Coming in at number 5, we've got a 50-pack of 12mm WS2811 pixel modules,
00:29the classic bullet-style nodes, DC 12V, and fully IP68 waterproof.
00:34That waterproofing is the real selling point here, because it means you can run these outdoors,
00:39in the rain, around a pool, whatever you want, without worrying.
00:43At $18.65 for 50 pieces, that's a solid deal, and with nearly 4,900 sold at a 4.6
00:50rating,
00:51people are clearly happy. If you're doing permanent outdoor Christmas lighting or a
00:56roofline project, this is a great starting point. Next up at number 4 is the WS2812B pixel ring,
01:03and this one's a favorite for Arduino and Raspberry Pi folks because it just works right
01:07out of the box with both. It comes in a bunch of sizes, from 8 bits all the way up
01:12to 128 bits,
01:14so whether you want a tiny accent ring or a big circular display, there's an option for you.
01:19The price starts at just $4.77, which is honestly nothing for what you get, and it's sitting at a
01:25perfect 5-star rating with almost 4,800 sold. If you're learning to code LEDs, this is the one
01:32to grab. At number 3, we have a 6-meter WS2811 strip with 50 full-color RGB IC pixels, available
01:40in both
01:405 and 12-volt, and it's IP68 waterproof too. This one's all about that dream color effect,
01:47smooth gradients, flowing rainbows, chasing patterns, the stuff that makes people stop and stare.
01:52It's $12.06, which is a steal for 6 meters of addressable lighting, and with a 4.9 rating in
01:59over 4,600 sold, it's about as proven as it gets. Great for wrapping, outlining, or any project where
02:06you want a continuous run of pixels. Number 2 is a kit, and I love a good kit,
02:11it's a DC5 VWS2812B pixel ring with your choice of 8, 16, 24, 35, or 45 LEDs on a black
02:19or white PCB,
02:20and it comes with a 21-key mini USB controller. That controller is the best part, because you
02:26don't need to write a single line of code, just plug it in and cycle through the built-in effects.
02:31For $2.90, that's an absurdly good price for a ready-to-go lighting setup.
02:36And it's rated 4.9 with over 4,600 sold. Perfect for beginners or anyone who wants instant results.
02:44And finally, the number 1 spot goes to another 50-pack of WS281112mm pixel modules,
02:515 or 12V, with 10cm wires and IP68 waterproofing. This one edges out the rest thanks to that generous
02:58wire length, which makes wiring up large installations way less of a headache,
03:02plus a 4.8 rating across more than 4,300 sales. At $15.45 for 50 pixels, it's the best
03:10bang for your
03:11buck on this whole list. If you're planning a big pixel project, this is the one I'd grab first.
03:18And that's the top 5 all the links are down in the description below,
