00:00I think Leo has always been very respectful of Diego Armando Maradona always when he had him
00:06as a manager but before that as well of you could see Maradona wanted to continue playing in
00:13a way in our heads when he was not a player anymore and he wanted to make sure that his
00:20legacy was the one that could not be challenged.
00:22So Diego criticised Leo and Leo did never ever respond. I think the feeling from the family has always
00:31been that Diego was a little bit too harsh on Leo. Knowing the demands of being the number 10 of
00:37Argentina, Diego should have been more understandable but in any case you never hear bad word from Leo towards Diego.
00:47In fact, you know that he wore the new Soul Boys shirt that Diego gave him on the day of
00:56his passing and that the Barcelona shirt and he actually scored a goal similar to one of the goals that
01:02Maradona scored and then he got his shirt out and gave the homage that he deserved.
01:08He never wanted to be Diego. He wanted to be a very good player for Argentina and wanted to be
01:13understood and loved by the Argentinians.
