00:05Le monde qui est ici en attendance
00:09Il y a toujours la ligne et dire
00:12« Ok, qui vous avez ? »
01:28Nogata
01:37le champion IWGP World Heavyweight
01:39was submitted the other night
01:41by Zack Sabre Jr.
01:45and there is no shame
01:47in being submitted by ZSJ
01:52and I know Shingo
01:53would have loved to have come back
01:55to an area here in Kobe
01:57where he competed so frequently
01:59throughout his years in Draggate
02:00and wrestled Tetsuya Naito
02:02but because of Naito's injury
02:03because of ZSJ
02:05such is not the case
02:10and oh by the way
02:11Shingo is the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion
02:14and don't think that fact
02:15has escaped Yuji Nogata either
02:20first singles meeting
02:21between these two
02:39man as soon as Shingo's arm went straight the other night
02:42my goodness
02:46screamed in pain and tapped out
02:48had heavy ice on the elbow
02:49he's got it wrapped up
02:51here today
02:52will it be a problem in this match
02:54will it be an issue for him
02:56throughout the rest of the tournament
02:58by far Shingo is not out of it
03:00no one is at this point
03:05but if there is an elbow issue
03:08how will that affect Shingo's offense
03:10moving forward
03:27IWGP World Heavyweight Champion
03:30IWGP World Heavyweight Champion
03:32Dark Dragon
03:32Takagi Shingo
03:41Yuji Nogata has been competing here a long time as well
03:434-2 mark overall
03:47wins include a 2003 win over Shinsuke Nakamura
03:56Taito Nakabashi our referee for second match
04:00new referees we're seeing
04:14yeah no pressure Taito you're just refereeing a match
04:17between the world champion and one of the all-time legends
04:21no sweat
04:23bell sounds that we're underway
04:27Nagata took the place of Tetsuya Naito the other night
04:30in Ota
04:32and Tangaloa was the opponent
04:35Tangaloa got two points
04:36because of the forfeiture from Tetsuya Naito
04:39but certainly Yuji Nogata
04:41came very close to winning
04:44before Tangaloa really used the power to put him away
04:50inside headlock
04:51into the head scissors
04:52Nagata kick out
05:05when the tournament continues for the A Block on Thursday
05:08once again it'll be at Corican Hall
05:11Shingo Takagi who enters with a 1-1 mark
05:14but has four points overall
05:17he will go 1-1 with Kenta
05:19and Nagata scores
05:29standing and training
05:31Shingo Nagata
05:41bootclips Shingo in the head
05:43the tackle puts Nagata down
05:44you certainly aren't getting a night off
05:46even though you gain points
05:50via forfeit
05:51because of the injury to Tetsuya Naito
05:53but as Tangaloa found out the other night
05:55and Shingo is here
05:56taking on Yuji Nagata
05:58it's certainly a physical pressure pack situation
06:19now Nagata
06:20in those ropes
06:24he's letting Shingo fire away here
06:27I got a feeling he's thinking of something
06:29perhaps trying to lure
06:32Takagi into a false sense security
06:33he got caught there
06:36I think if Nagata would have been let free
06:38and hit the ropes
06:39could have been a different story
06:40Shingo had to know that
06:42Nagata was letting him move too easily
06:44on the opposite side
06:45and hung on drilled him in the midsection
06:47with the knee
06:55all right now
06:56probably keeping in the ring here
07:05and Nagata is going to look exploder
07:09Shingo crashes to the deck
07:11being Nagata man
07:13it'll be a whole different story
07:14uh-oh gets caught
07:16and the exploder
07:19wipes out
07:21the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion
07:33Nagata certainly felt that one as well
07:39just that thin layer of padding
07:41you can see them on
07:43that's what separates us
07:44from a concrete floor
07:47here in Kobe
07:54Shingo carried Nagata to the apron
07:57and paid for it
08:00it's difficult when you are
08:02the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion
08:04you want to give everyone
08:06the full opportunity to see you
08:08you want to beat a legend convincingly
08:10and send the message
08:12that all is well
08:13in Shingo land
08:14even though you got submitted
08:15the other night by ZSJ
08:23Nagata focusing on the left arm here
08:25you look for the pump handle
08:26and get it
08:28hyperextending the left arm
08:29it was the hyperextended right arm
08:32that forced Shingo to tap out
08:38when you look at what Nagata has done
08:41as an amateur coming up
08:43would have been an obvious choice
08:45for the Olympic team
08:46certainly would have qualified
08:47had he not turned pro
08:50an outstanding professional career
08:54and then as well now
08:56also giving back and training
08:58future Olympians
09:01in the amateur system
09:03here in Japan
09:04oh boy
09:07you can tell why Jon Moxley
09:09wanted to fight Yuji Tagata
09:10when he was IWGP
09:12US Heavyweight Champion
09:13on AEW Dynamite
09:17because you want to test yourself
09:19against the best
09:25and I'm sure there's no complaints
09:27from Shingo
09:28or anybody about having to face Nagata
09:31now going to the right arm
09:33now going to the right arm
09:38and you can see the difference
09:41yes it hurts with the left arm
09:43it's significantly worse with the right
09:46and Shingo is right out here
09:47in front of me
09:56after that match when Zack Sabre Jr. Shingo looked like a
10:00major league pitcher
10:01who just threw nine innings
10:03he had
10:04a huge ice pack
10:07taped around his elbow
10:12and now rolling in and Nagata right there to greet him
10:16Nagata managing the risks and staying inside the ring
10:21that's where he does his best work
10:23even though he scored with that exploder on the floor
10:25now back to the left arm
10:28and we'll look to take him down
10:29and we'll look to take him down
10:35see if he can
10:36before he can elevate the hips of the Fujiwara
10:38Shingo immediately
10:40going to his knees
10:41looking for the break
10:42but at the same time
10:43it also kind of blocks the Nagata
10:46in an effort to
10:48bend that
10:49left arm up
10:56Shingo's got to be careful
10:57because if he moves his legs
10:58doesn't
10:59oh he got the rope
10:59if he moves his legs
11:01and doesn't get the rope
11:02then his body's completely flat
11:04and Nagata can take advantage
11:05but Shingo is able to force the rope break
11:20wow
11:23perfect technique
11:25that one caught him in the right bicep
11:31despite the pain in both arms
11:33the world heavyweight champion
11:35able to put Nagata down
11:38but in obvious pain
11:41will cause a delay
11:43and a follow-up
11:54here we go
11:59vertical suplex
12:01and Nagata certainly
12:03able to block a vertical suplex
12:05we've seen him do it a time or two
12:08but Shingo just outpowers you
12:11at that leverage point
12:18Shingo's got to be going through his Rolodex
12:20saying
12:20can I hit a pumping bomber?
12:22am I able to execute
12:23Made in Japan?
12:24how about Last of the Dragon?
12:26what am I going to do here
12:27with my right arm screaming?
12:35look at Death Valley Driver
12:38back to the kick
12:39nope
12:40oh oh
12:41gets the Death Valley Driver
12:43used Nagata's own momentum
12:45coming inward
12:46near leg hook
12:48and Nagata gets the left shoulder up
13:05there was no looking ahead
13:06for Shingo Takagi to Thursday
13:08in the matchup with Kenta here
13:10he knows exactly what Nagata can do
13:19clubbed in the back
13:20Nagata stops him
13:23oh wait a minute now
13:26uses the momentum of the ropes
13:29for the German suplex
13:36oh came in
13:37got caught with the knee
13:38he could be out
13:39he might be out
13:41Nagata caught him
13:42with the inside of his knee
13:43Shingo could be out
13:49brain buster
13:50brain buster
13:51by Yuji Nagata
13:52he's about to defeat Shingo
13:54a kick out of two
13:58now one of the varieties
14:00of Nagata locks
14:04and this cross face
14:07left arm trap
14:13cross face supply
14:1810 minutes in
14:21Shingo's looking for a rope break
14:23here
14:29and now both arms trap
14:33Yuji Nagata is on the doorstep
14:36of submitting the IWGP
14:37World Heavyweight Champion
14:41and wouldn't this be
14:43an incredible victory
14:44for Nagata
14:47puts the shoulders down
14:49to
14:51and Shingo is able to kick out
14:59dragon screw leg whip
15:07Shingo going dragon screw
15:09to try to slow down the
15:12kicking offense of Nagata
15:22with a counter
15:24with a counter
15:27to the sliding lariat
15:29and that's the same arm
15:32that Shingo had to give up
15:35the other night
15:36the eyes roll back
15:39and Shingo's in deep deep
15:42trouble
15:49wait a minute
15:52shoulders up
15:54shoulders up
16:21Sous-titrage Société Radio-Canada
16:25Sous-titrage Société Radio-Canada
16:55Shingo Takagi feels like absolute hell right now
17:00And while Yuji Nagata has taken some punishment too
17:05And he completely knows who his opponent is
17:09He completely knows he's the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion
17:12And he knows what a win over Shingo would mean
17:18Justice Knee
17:22And now Shingo up on the top rope
17:25Shingo trying to get far back
17:30Gains an advantage position
17:36Nagata's music to let go
17:43And Nagata's going down
17:45No he's not going down
17:52And a top rope exploder
17:55Watch out
17:56All the way down
17:58Yuji Nagata is about to do it
18:00Yuji Nagata tops it
18:02One
18:02Two
18:03Oh what a kick out
18:14Back drop suplex
18:16He'll keep him right there
18:17For the pinning position
18:17If he gets it
18:18Can't do it
18:19Try it
18:20Second effort
18:21Again
18:23Shingo with the block
18:27There's that back suplex of his own
18:30Nagata rolls to his feet
18:33Oh pumping bomber drills him
18:39But Shingo's taking too much punishment
18:41And while Nagata's shoulders are on the mat
18:44Unable to cover him
18:46Now realizing too much time has elapsed
18:48Let's go
18:48Oh wait a minute
18:52The extra time
18:53Cause Shingo there
18:55As Nagata has an answer
19:12Nagata decided to retire
19:14From G1 Climax competition
19:17Because in his mind
19:20He felt like he couldn't win the tournament anymore
19:23But can he dial it up for one match
19:27And beat an athlete
19:28The caliber of Shingo Takagi
19:30We're seeing it right here
19:48Oh man
19:51Nagata staggered
19:52Grits his teeth
19:54Refusing to
19:56Back up
19:57Oh Shingo
19:58Rapid fire
19:59Succession of forearms
20:01Oh
20:07And the enziguri
20:08Right off the top of the head
20:09But Shingo sliding variant
20:14Nagata didn't have an answer
20:16Nagata didn't have an answer that time
20:17Shingo caught a flush
20:29One more time
20:31Pumping bomber
20:33Leg hook
20:35Leg hook
20:35Two
20:35And Nagata kicks out
20:38Mugen Nagata kicks out
20:55Here we go
20:57Up on the shoulders
20:59Last of the dragon
21:02Last of the dragon
21:03Last of the dragon
21:05And it is over
21:06Wow
21:16The old saying
21:18Whatever doesn't kill you
21:19Makes you stronger
21:28Shingo Takagi
21:29Refused to die
21:30Refused to quit
21:31Refused to give in
21:32And eventually got the win over
21:35Yugen Nagata here
21:51Shingo certainly
21:52Benefiting as
21:53All of the competitors
21:55Outside of Zack Sabre Jr
21:58For the
21:59Points you get
22:00Via Tetsuya Naito's
22:02Forfeitures
22:04But Shingo certainly
22:06Went into this match
22:08Ready to go
22:11Yugen Nagata
22:12Brought the fight
22:12To the world champ
