00:48Jeph Cobb est en train de prendre
00:51un homme qui commence à question

01:26entre ces deux
01:27et tous les trois matchs
01:29ont été outstanding
01:30Taichi 2-1 edge
01:33Ils ont gagné victimes
01:35Donc, encore une fois, le numerologie
01:37dirait que Jeff Cobb
01:38est un favori à jouer tonight
01:40en ce regard
01:41up to market 2-2
01:44Quand Taichi
01:45était un fait par
01:47d'Evil et Dick Togo
01:49et l'angérée qui m'a puits
01:51et puis quand Taichi
01:53venait contre Yohshihashi
01:54il y a pas de Yohshihashi
01:56a fait pour yohshihashi
01:58a fait sa première
01:58de ce tournoi
01:59et les commentaires
02:00après Taichi
02:01étaient un peu troublés
02:02si vous êtes un fan
02:03de la Holy Emperor
02:04Je pense qu'il a été
02:06s'il n'a pas
02:06quand il y a dit
02:08à Yohshihashi
02:10et
02:44Oh, wait a minute.
02:45Qu'est-ce que Mijo ?
02:46Est-ce que Mijo ?
02:47Est-ce que Mijo ?
02:48Est-ce que Mijo ?
02:49Est-ce que Mijo ?
02:50Est-ce que Mijo ?
02:51Est-ce que Mijo ?
02:54Pousse- un sac.
02:54Oh, mon Dieu !
02:55Oh, please !
03:12Il est en jeu primion et qui a minuit, je suis Suvuki軍,
03:50Cobb getting a victory over Hiroki Goto
03:52la semaine dernière.
03:57Je pense que la première fois qu'ils se rencontrent
03:59c'était à Donsaka 2019,
04:02et c'était...
04:04C'est devenu Jeff Cobb's momentum
04:07en un major, major way back then.
04:09Jeff Cobb had just won the Never Openweight Champion,
04:12pinned Will Ostray in Madison Square Garden.
04:14And it really seemed then,
04:17oh, Jeff Cobb is on a roll, he's turned the corner,
04:19he's gonna be a huge guy.
04:21And then Taichi, with a lot of help from Miho Abe
04:24and Yoshinobu Kanamaru,
04:26took that Never title from him.
04:28So there is a chance now that Jeff Cobb is really, really peaking.
04:32Taichi would take great pleasure in stalling that momentum.
04:36Yeah, Cobb had gotten the victory over Taichi
04:38the following August during the G1.
04:40But then last year, Taichi defeated Cobb.
04:44And so they are 2-1 all-time.
04:54Marty Asami is our referee, calls for the bell.
04:5730 minutes are on the clock in this B Block match.
05:00G1 climax 31.
05:03Can anyone stop Jeff Cobb?
05:05Can it be Taichi here tonight?
05:06What a way to right the ship and get some momentum going
05:09in the right direction.
05:24on tap.
05:26Thank you.
05:26Da-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t.
05:27Gi-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t
05:30-t-t-t-t-t-t-t.
05:30Thank you, Wingard.
05:35Thank you, thank you, I wanna see such a good man.
05:36Thank you, Dave.
05:37Thank you, and thank you.
05:37Mr. Samu is almost surprised that he got a clean break from Jeff Cobb there.
05:40Taichi gives himself up in that position to lure his opponent into making a mistake.
05:53As soon as Cobb starts to push, Taichi once again gives himself up.
05:59Will we see a second clean break?
06:09Something disingenuous about that applause, I think.
06:12What?
06:13There's something that he's saying might not be on the up-and-up.
06:20Cobb's got to be careful too, because Taichi can fire quickly.
06:24And, oh wait a minute.
06:26And, Taichi thrown down just as he started to give himself up.
06:31Cobb wouldn't let him.
06:33Taichi, a big sumo fan, of course, we've talked about.
06:36He likes to use some of those techniques every now and then in his matches.
06:40A little bit of sumo versus freestyle amateur wrestling is certainly an aspect of this in the early going.
06:50And a kick to the leg.
06:51This might be the strategy.
06:53Notice Cobb with a wrap on his knee.
06:59Perhaps a little bit of an issue.
07:02Doesn't appear to be anything major, but Taichi is going to go after it nevertheless.
07:06And now Cobb gets run chest first into the barricade.
07:09We are very close to the barricade on the opposite side from where Taichi has just thrown Cobb in.
07:14And the camera cables have found their way around the throat of Cobb.
07:19That's not Greco-Roman camera cable.
07:25Taichi now a mainstay in this G1 Climax tournament.
07:28Fans had high hopes for Taichi to go far in the New Japan Cup, but he was ousted in the
07:34first round.
07:37Avenged that victory by Hiroki Goto with a win of his own here in this tournament.
07:42And now Taichi rolling Cobb underneath the bottom rope.
07:45Cobb wets his hair extensively as you can tell.
07:48So Taichi wiping his hands.
07:53Greco-Roman throat hold.
08:04Asami calls for the break and another stomp into the D.
08:14And now Taichi knocking Jeff Cobb's weight.
08:19That was long been the comments of Taichi calling Jeff Cobb Jeff cargo.
08:27Back to the knee.
08:29Uh-oh.
08:32Cobb gets low.
08:33No.
08:33Sidestep out of the way.
08:35Here he goes.
08:35Big swing.
08:36No.
08:37Oh, my goodness.
08:38Oh, more than enough of a base to do that.
08:42And hurling Taichi across the ring.
08:44Taichi clutching the lower back.
08:47That's been...
08:47He's got a history of back troubles.
08:49And it was that night.
08:51And Dontak in 2019 was very, very lucky to be able to compete.
08:55Let alone beat Jeff Cobb in for Coco.
09:09And a choke hold here by Cobb.
09:14All good.
09:15All good.
09:19All good.
09:21And there's another one with Taichi again.
09:23The Taichi go home chants were echoing throughout this building.
09:27And now he's become quite the crowd favorite.
09:31With ever...
09:31Not ever changing his style.
09:34Right.
09:35Just kind of pushing more things to the forefront.
09:38And that's...
09:39You know, never surrendered attitude has come up more.
09:42You know, it used to be that he would shy away from competition.
09:46And nowadays he actively pursues it.
09:49Oh, boy.
09:51Jeff Cobb going surfing.
09:54Talk about knowing an opponent's weak spot.
09:56Five minutes, five minutes.
09:58Boom.
10:06Snap bear.
10:09Oh, you might learn how to sing, Kevin.
10:11No, yeah.
10:11We gotta get a song out.
10:14Oh, hey.
10:14Turn that microphone on.
10:17Oh, sorry, sorry.
10:18We need to smarten up the sound guy for him.
10:26Cobb has been dominant in this tournament.
10:29Undefeated 4-0.
10:31And he holds the second shortest average match length in the B block
10:34at 13 minutes and 22 seconds.
10:38Usually, shorter matches lead to losses in this tournament.
10:43He's been able to win.
10:44And he blasts through his opponents in short order.
10:51Oh, wow.
10:53Yes, he's gonna drive him right into that lower back, into the corner.
10:59Violently throwing Teich corner to corner.
11:06I don't know if I've ever seen another athlete with all the tools that Jeff Cobb possesses.
11:17Look at that.
11:20And then the lariat.
11:23When the chop hits, it's almost like you wince, you draw in breath, and then it's driven out of you
11:28by the lariat.
11:29So, it's impossible to breathe in that situation.
11:33Here's Cobb with the cover, and Teichy's able to squeeze his shoulder out.
11:39Teichy's gotta dig his boot heel in.
11:42Try to stand his ground.
11:44It's gonna be tough on that back.
11:46Leave that fire.
11:47Leave that fire.
11:54Back to the knee.
12:05Even Teichy's own beloved sumo style.
12:08Jeff Cobb just sends him flying.
12:11I may practically plead him.
12:14Teichy to do something to get into this match.
12:17Cobb throwing the ceremonial salt.
12:23Just mocking Teichy all the way.
12:25To me, baby.
12:27Easy.
12:29Easy, too, boy.
12:33Wait a minute, Underdy.
12:34Oh, my God!
12:36Beautiful hook kick.
12:41Can one kick change everything, though?
12:44He needs some time, is what Teichy needs right now.
12:47So, he's not gonna be able to follow up.
12:53Oh, my God!
12:53Cobb's lights were dimmed with that kick.
12:55He's crawling up, back to his feet.
12:58You can see his...
13:00He is recuperating as Teichy now is drawing himself up.
13:04Firing in.
13:06Delivers the clothesline.
13:09Oh!
13:10Oh!
13:10Oh!
13:15Eye for an eye and a back for a back.
13:19And now there's a lot of kicks from his mentor.
13:29Oh, wait a minute.
13:30Wait a minute.
13:30And try it.
13:32It's a Teichy over.
13:37Sidestep.
13:38Bob's wide open.
13:39Gets drilled that time.
13:40Down in gear.
13:40Oh, my God.
13:46Come on!
13:47Come on!
13:50Come on!
13:51Cobb has won his first four.
13:52Teichy started fast.
13:54Okay, yes.
13:55Has dropped his last two.
13:56Chris, here you go.
13:57Oh!
13:58They're coming off!
14:01Come on!
14:02Come on!
14:02Come on!
14:02Come on!
14:03Teichy feeling it!
14:11Oh my god, a drop kick from Jeff Cobb, 280, 280 folks, and Cobb does that, Taichi couldn't
14:21be out, leg is hooked, center of the ring too, and just enough of the shoulder of Taichi
14:28came off from contact with the canvas, Marty Asami stops his count at two, Cobb's dominated
14:39this one, Taichi with some flurries, yeah Taichi, oh, gonna go for a right, a kick in the
14:51back, Inzaguri swinging that right leg, Cobb's overall record this year in New Japan Pro
15:13wrestling, an unbelievable 63 and 11.
15:24Taichi's saying, now it's my turn, as he drives those kicks, drives the wind out of Jeff Cobb.
15:32Come on, right here, right here, motherfucker, right here, come on, stop!
15:37Oh no, beautiful, that was smart, and Taichi is not gonna get the advantage by fighting
15:44fair with Jeff Cobb, he's gotta go after every single weakness he can find, including that
15:49left knee.
15:50And now, axe bomber, let's see if he can hit it.
15:57Oh, and Cobb takes another move from Taichi after the axe bomber, and now he's gonna send
16:03him in, Torlea, no spin cycle, spin cycle, got him!
16:10Cover, two, kick out, oh!
16:17Freakish, and he's done it, oh wow, I thought that was it, I thought that was it!
16:24Taichi somehow escaped.
16:31They're rocking here in Cork tonight, Cobb and Taichi.
16:39I don't mean for much longer, Jeff Cobb saying he's gonna ring Taichi up.
16:44Here we go, tour of the islands, tour of the islands, tour!
16:48Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, Taichi escaped!
16:50Okay!
16:51No way!
16:53Too much weight in the back, the back got sweet!
17:06Another, oh!
17:07The record on the ground hold stopped!
17:10The tour of the islands!
17:11Now the two-handed variety!
17:20Here we go, baby, do us!
17:24Throws Cobb on his head!
17:27Turn that mass of humanity over!
17:29Cover him, cover him, cover him!
17:31Taichi's on top!
17:32Two!
17:33Oh, and Cobb!
17:42Sold out Coral Great Hall, hold him behind dangerous teeth!
17:48Okay!
17:50Okay!
17:51Okay, okay, okay!
17:52Okay, okay, okay!
17:53Okay, okay!
17:54Okay, okay!
18:03Yeah!
18:05Got him lined up though, Chris!
18:07Get up!
18:11Get up!
18:12Get up!
18:14Get up!
18:14Oh, man, got it last!
18:15Oh, Taichi powers through!
18:19Oh!
18:20Oh!
18:22There you go, Taichi style!
18:25Get up!
18:26Two!
18:26No!
18:28Cobb escaped!
18:31That might be the only way Taichi could kick Cobb!
18:34I don't know if he's gonna be able to lift him with Complexita.
18:39No!
18:52He's gonna try it!
18:55Non, mais pas ce temps.
18:58Non, en arrière.
19:06Mon Dieu !
19:09Taichi peut être là.
19:12Saichi a juste été joli,
19:15C'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon.
19:45C'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon.
19:50C'est bon.
19:54Swing and a miss.
19:56Yeah, left, Jermaine.
20:03Here we go, here we go, tour of the islands.
20:08The leg is hooked too and Jakob has done it again.
20:19Five-man-O, Kevin.
20:30Man, I've said it before, I'm gonna say it again, there isn't anybody that can stop Jeff Cobb.
20:45First to ten points in this tournament.
20:49That's just eliminated Hiroki Goto.
20:55Goto wins tonight, his max is ten.
20:57Oh man, you're right.
20:58I mean, let's say if Okada gets up to ten, he could get a three-way tight scenario perhaps.
21:05Yeah, okay.
21:06But I mean, yeah, it's looking very, very glum for Hiroki Goto.
21:16No, because Goto lost to Okada too.
21:19Oh, you're right.
21:20You're right.
21:21So he's out.
21:24So Hiroki Goto is the first person to be eliminated this year's G1.
21:27And how many times do we say that at match five at this point in the tournament where we're already
21:35crossing names off the list?
21:37Yep.
21:37Because that man is so goddamn dominant.
21:40He's just otherworldly.
21:43Taichi did everything.
21:45Every single thing.
21:50I've loved their three previous matches.
21:53That one's my new favorite.
21:55The next time they meet, that one will probably be my favorite.
21:59Give me Taichi versus Cobb anytime.
22:02But how about Taichi versus Okada?
22:05Taichi's tournament is not over, but he's going to need a lot of help.
22:09He can help himself because he can beat the Rainmaker.
22:12Coming up on the eighth, coaching the site.
22:17That, Kevin, if you're watching this for free on AJBW World Bank of Palm right now, and you're not signing
22:23up after tonight, I don't know what we're doing here.
22:26Throw money.
22:26My God.
22:27Take the dollar bills, coins out of your wallet, throw it at the TV right now.
22:34Cobb versus Sonata.
22:36We'll see Sonata in our main event.
22:46There is no stopping Jeff Cobb.
22:51We might have to call this the Jeff Bond Climax after this year.
22:56Don't you start that now.
22:57Take the dollar bills off?
22:58Hold on.
23:00Oh, wow!
23:00Wow!
23:00Wow!
23:00Wow!
