00:00If your horse tends to get a dry, stiff mouth during rides, finding a bit that encourages
00:04natural salivation and softness is a complete game-changer. I've done the heavy lifting and
00:09tracked down the top 5 western bits for salivation that deliver incredible quality without draining
00:14your wallet, so let's dive right in and find the perfect match for your partner.
00:19Kicking things off at number 1 is the Creature Tack Hand Polished Copper Barrel Bit,
00:23which has earned a stellar 4.8-star rating from over 4,600 riders.
00:28The standout feature here is definitely the sweet copper barrel combined with that ultra-smooth,
00:33hand-polished stainless steel finish, which keeps your horse comfortable and actively softening up.
00:38At just $16.21, it's practically a steal for a bit that looks this premium and genuinely
00:44encourages that relaxed, moist mouth you want. Next up is another favorite from Creature Tack,
00:50their Advanced Control Western Bit, also sitting pretty at a 4.8-star rating with over 4,500 sold.
00:56What makes this one shine is how it balances gentle mouth stimulation with clearer,
01:01more refined rain cues, giving you that extra bit of control without being harsh.
01:05Coming in at only $16.25, it's an awesome everyday training option if your horse needs
01:11a reliable nudge to stay responsive and soft on the palate.
01:15At number 3, we have Creature Tack's Copper Barrel Bit with Advanced Control,
01:19rocking a solid 4.7-star rating.
01:22This bit takes the design up a notch by pairing an independent copper roller center with balanced
01:27shanks, giving you pinpoint communication while the copper keeps their mouth wet and accepting.
01:32It's priced a bit higher at $25.06, but riders love it because that extra craftsmanship pays off
01:38big time in the arena when you need nuanced cues.
01:41Moving on to number 4, this Equestrian Gear Copper Barrel Bit comes in with a 4.5-star rating
01:47across more than 2,700 orders. The highlight is the ergonomic mouthpiece that lets the copper
01:53barrel roll freely, keeping busy-mouthed horses relaxed and focused on your hands rather than
01:57bracing against the metal. For just $16.35, it's a super dependable, budget-friendly work bit that
02:05does wonders for keeping dry-mouthed horses happy. Rounding out our list at number 5 is this upgraded
