00:00Alright, if you're building an AS, a firewall box, or some little home server, you've probably
00:04run into those tiny EUSB DOM SSDs that plug straight into a vertical 9-pin header.
00:10They're small, they're reliable, and honestly, they're the perfect boot drive.
00:15So today I'm counting down the top 5 4G EUSB DOM SSDs for vertical mounting, and trust me,
00:21I found some seriously good deals. Kicking things off at number 5 is this 4G
00:26USB DOM electronic disc with a 9-pin large port vertical interface. It's a straightforward
00:32little boot disc that does exactly what it says on the tin, no fuss, no drama.
00:37The best part? It's only $7.46, and with a 4.8 rating and over 1,400 units sold,
00:44people clearly trust it. If you just need a cheap, dependable boot drive and don't want
00:50to overthink it, this is a solid pick. At number 4, we've got another 4G USB DOM SSD.
00:56This one rocking a large vertical interface and specifically marketed for Synology Ineos and
01:01Unrate systems. That compatibility is the real selling point here, because if you're running
01:06either of those, you want something that just works out of the box. The price is honestly ridiculous,
01:12just $5.28, and it's holding a 4.9 rating with almost 2,000 sold. At that price, you could
01:19grab a
01:19spare or two and not even blink. Coming in at number 3 is this a USB DOM SSD from that
01:254, 8, 16,
01:2732, and 64GB family, and it's a vertical mount with that standard 2.54mm 9-pin pitch we all know.
01:34This one's a workhorse, over 3,800 units sold and a 4.8 rating. The flexibility across capacities is the
01:42standout feature, so you can scale up to 64GB if you want a bit more room. It's $22.07, which
01:50is fair
01:50for the build quality and the MLC flash inside. Number 2 is basically the twin of the last one,
01:56same vertical mounting, same 9-pin pitch, same capacity range from 4 all the way up to 64GB of
02:02MLC and AS-friendly flash. Here's why it's higher on the list, it's cheaper, just $20.71, and it's
02:09sitting at a perfect 5-star rating with over 4,600 sold. That combination of price, capacity options,
02:16and a flawless rating is hard to argue with. If you want maximum value per gig, this is your guy.
02:23And taking the top spot is this industrial-embedded USB DOM, 16GB of MLC flash, vertical mounting,
02:299-pin pitch 2.54mm, and it's built for NAS duty. This one wins because it's the most popular by
02:36a
02:37mile, a massive 4,833 units sold with a 4.7 rating. 16GB gives you plenty of breathing room for
02:45a boot
02:45drive with room to spare. At $38.95 it's the priciest on the list, but for industrial-grade
02:52reliability and that kind of proven track record, it's worth every penny if you want to set it and
02:57forget it. So there you have it, the top 5 4GE USB DOM SSDs for vertical mounting. Whether you're
03:05spending 5 bucks or nearly 40, there's something here for every build. All the links are down in
