00:00I will say I've witnessed I believe five executions in Tennessee. Nothing about today was normal, typical at all.
00:08And the court delay was just the tip of the iceberg.
00:11When we got inside, I think it was around 6.41, we got into the witness chamber.
00:16We were waiting there for almost an hour, which is unusual.
00:19Normally it's 10, 15 minutes and then things get underway.
00:23We could hear like a little crying and whimpering at times.
00:26This is an enormous dose of a sedative. That should not ever need to happen twice, but it did.
00:34And then she stayed alive.
00:36I think one of the issues we have here is the protocol doesn't talk about what happens if you do
00:42this twice and they're still alive.
00:44I don't think that that is something that was planned for.
00:47And then I heard them say, bring the clergy back in, which I've never seen before, but that meant they're
00:52going to try again.
00:53So we watched that happen and then they closed the curtain for the second time.
00:59They always close it after the five-minute waiting period after the rock comes out.
01:03I don't know what you guys thought.
01:04I didn't think she was in distress, if you will, okay, with the breathing.
01:08I didn't, it was kind of forced.
01:11It was wheezy.
01:12We've said that, but it's not like toward the end there that she appeared to be in distress.
01:17Now, was it labored? Sure.
01:19Was it kind of snoring? Sure.
01:20And that's not what we expected.
01:23We thought it would get longer.
01:26There'd be greater amounts of time between breaths.
01:29The snoring would be loud.
01:31There were moments when it was loud and you would think, okay, maybe this is the moment when she's going
01:35to slowly stop.
01:36And that didn't happen.
01:37Thank you.
