00:00so 2025 has been quite a year when it comes to new releases i mean month after month these
00:06companies can't seem to get enough to give us some new cars and hopefully 2026 wouldn't be
00:12any different so i'm here today with the zigwills philippines crew got cesar we got paolo papa and
00:18we got fort manahan here to predict what cars do you think we'll uh we'll see in 2026 so
00:25watch out for this video because you'll be amazed what we'll be seeing next year
00:30so first off we've got a crowd favorite with the all-new nissan navarra the nissan navarra was
00:37unveiled in australia just this week earlier as soon as we're filming this and it is quite a looker
00:44kind of a polarizing effect because some people think that it looks a lot like it's stable made
00:49in the mitsubishi nissan renault alliance but i gotta say it has some qualities that i think
00:56really sets it apart it's got a 2.4 liter turbocharged diesel engine that makes around 200 horsepower
01:02and 470 newton meter torque and if the australian market navarra is any indication it certainly has
01:10some upgrades that will definitely make sure that a lot of navarra fans will love when do you think
01:16we'll see it in the philippines we have no idea but if we give us our best guess probably in
01:23the second half of 2026 all right so next on our list is a comebacking nameplate which was discontinued
01:30uh sometime in the early 2000s now that's the honda prelude honda cars philippines incorporated
01:36president herself the ea miyake and uh she said it will be arriving soon which she announced during the
01:442025 japan mobility show done on october and our guess it's gonna be in the first half of the
01:52months uh sorry first half of the year especially because we're anticipating two big auto shows this
01:59year which is miyas and pimps so another car coming in 2026 is the kia ev5 it was previewed at
02:09the
02:092025 philippine electric vehicle summit and at the event it was confirmed to arrive in the local
02:18market in the first quarter of 2026 notable features of the car include a very distinct design that's
02:27somewhat similar to the other electric vehicle model line of Kia and it also boasts a range of more than
02:35500 kilometers just to note the ev5 is a tad smaller compared to the ev9 the ev9 is a
02:43three-row
02:44model right a three row model while the ev5 is a five-seater crossover toyota is also in the business
02:51of launching uh a barrage of models on 20 in 2026 and one of them is the toyota hilux now
03:00we are expecting
03:00that the model would arrive uh later than april since we have seen this model in thailand already
03:09and now toyota motor philippines has confirmed its arrival though did not give any details about the launch
03:16we are expecting that uh it might have the same powertrain options uh as the current generation but
03:23it might have an electrified model which could be called the travel okay another model that was
03:32confirmed to arrive in the philippine market in 2026 is the gac ion ut it is a hatchback styled crossover
03:43with over 500 kilometers of range but it will be priced below 1 million and what can we say that's
03:51that's somewhat of a herald of an upcoming ev war so when will this ev war start well gac didn't
04:01exactly say when the ion ut will launch in 2026 but we can expect that sometime in the first quarter
04:09maybe
04:10second quarter something going back to the nissan camp of what we want to see in 2026 it's the nissan
04:17magnite that's been a long time coming since we last heard of the nissan magnet first previewed in
04:23the 2024 philippine international motor show and earlier this year the new nissan president philippine
04:29president did hint on a couple of new models we're hoping that the magnite is one of them when in
04:362026
04:36we expect this probably we'll be seeing another sneak peek if nissan decides to join the philippines
04:42international motor show or probably the fifth quarter of 2026 things are looking good for uh the
04:48golden bowtie brand here in the philippines because uh chevrolet might be bringing the electrified version
04:54of the captiva mpv in 2026 now they already brought the captiva earlier this year which we would have to
05:04say looks pretty good for an mpv uh it has that suv styling so we're excited for them to you
05:12know
05:13bring that electrified variant of uh the nameplate so that they can further probably their sustainability
05:21goals if we're gonna look at how chevrolet philippines does its things because it likes to do things its
05:28own way uh we're expecting the release of the captiva ev sometime in miyas or probably later within
05:37the year toyota motor philippines already confirmed that the gr yaris is bigger brother the gr corolla
05:44is now open for reservations for Filipino buyers what but but the actual units may come in to the country
05:53uh early 2026 uh first month second month something like that uh we can expect maybe the same levels
06:02of performance with more room because it's a larger bodied the hatchback but it's an exciting model
06:08manual turbocharged all-wheel drive diba it might it might join the uh tgr philippines yes yes it might join
06:19and make an appearance sa mga future iterations ng toyota gazoo racing philippine cup yes by this premium
06:27sub-brand denza is also expected to arrive uh sometime uh in 2026 probably in miyas if they decide to
06:37join
06:38or in pimps should they be part of the campy roster or in the latter part of the year since
06:45uh we are still
06:46waiting for the brand for its formal introduction here in the philippines earlier uh the lto released
06:53the homologation papers for its possible first model the denza d9 and prior to that it was late in late
07:022024 when byd asia pacific announced the arrival of the denza nameplate so we might be things we might be
07:12looking forward for more things under the Chinese automaker it's funny how most of the time
07:18the most common cars the cars that we can usually afford are pretty much in my opinion the most
07:24important ones mitsubishi is probably the only major brand right now that does not have an electrified
07:31vehicle officially released in the philippines so if you follow the money because last year 2024
07:372025 actually 2024 they announced that it's going to be a new golden age for mitsubishi they'll
07:44be releasing seven new cars in the upcoming year and so far they've just released two two and maybe
07:51refresh the expander but they're promising some new cars but for 2026 we are expecting a lot and what i
07:59expect most and look forward to is the expander hybrid the expander hybrid is one of the best-selling
08:07vehicles across southeast asia particularly in indonesia right now it's just that it's yet to reach
08:13philippine shores given that the Expander is the brand's best-selling vehicle in the country
08:19expected to even sell better once the hybrid variant comes in it also promised to bring in its full-size
08:28suv the m8 but we're still waiting for further information from its local distributors that if they will
08:36bring it uh next year last but not least i mean there's going to be a lot of cars for
08:402026 but
08:42last thing on our list is probably going to be the one of the most exciting out there especially for
08:47car enthusiasts and subaru fans it's the subaru crosstrek hybrid it's just been released in the united
08:54states and a lot of people are loving it if it's anything like the subaru forester hybrid that we tested
09:02out last month this thing's going to be quite a banger and might be more affordable as well so
09:09that's why i'm looking forward to it probably in the second quarter of 2026 so subaru has got a lot

09:16cashing up to do and lately they've been taking the right steps so there you have it folks 12 cars
