00:03I mean, obviously this film has been nine years in my mind,
00:07but when you see these actors putting together these performances
00:12with so much fun, so much heart,
00:15and so much, you know, the technique of John Goodman,
00:18you know, as a legend, or Tom, or Sandra,
00:21you know, all these guys.
00:23Anyway, it was a beautiful experience, beautiful.
00:25And when you look through the lens and you see Tom as Digger,
00:28what was that moment you step back and you go, I understand.
00:31Holy shit.
00:32Yeah, that's not Tom Cruise.
00:34No, it was funny because he was in the body suit, in the makeup,
00:38and then sometimes in the rehearsal, once in a while,
00:40he always rehearsed with that to get the character,
00:42but sometimes he didn't.
00:44And suddenly we all were like, holy shit, that's Tom Cruise in the sense.
00:47I mean, it was a surprise.
00:50And they were asking me why he looks like that,
00:52and I said, he looks like my younger brother, he's my age,
00:56and it was a revenge.
00:57I said, he has to look like a 60-something,
00:59and I said to the makeup artist,
01:01put it all, make it all like all the human beings.
01:04No, but honestly, seeing him performing, it was a miracle.
01:09It's so entertaining, and so it's hard not to watch him.
01:12So I think people will have a joy and surprise seeing the film
01:15and seeing what it's about.
01:16Because I think in his career, he has touched every note of music,
01:19you know, like drama and satire and comedy and dance,
01:23and I knew that I need somebody like that,
01:25because you will see there's many layers in the film.
01:28There's a lot of unfolding surprises in the film,
01:31and you will see why.
01:32He will show you when you see the film why Tom Cruise was needed here.
01:36Did you enjoy, sorry, did you enjoy doing a comedy?
01:40I enjoy a lot.
01:41We laugh so much.
01:42And I think in the times we are living,
01:44this film is exactly about that.
01:46It's a tough time,
01:47and at least we have to laugh a little bit,
01:49and think a little bit,
01:50and feel a little bit,
01:51and recognize ourselves through humor.
01:53This is a film for the young generations
01:56to allow themselves to leave the telephone out
01:59of the stories that they are told
02:01and seeing a story that is about the stories that we tell ourselves
02:04and recognize and laugh
02:05and see what we do with this world that we live in.
