00:00Okay, so you're setting up a wastewater system, or maybe you're just tired of gritty sediment
00:04wrecking your filters and appliances. Either way, you need a solid bag filter housing that
00:09won't quit on you. I went down the rabbit hole and found the top 5 best deals for top 5
00:14bag
00:14filter housings for wastewater, and honestly, a couple of these are so cheap I almost didn't
00:19believe the ratings. Let's get into it. First up, the 10-inch 304-slash-316 stainless steel
00:26filter screen. This thing is the budget hero of the list under $21 at $20.77, and it's sold over
00:344,300 times with a perfect 5-star rating. What I love is that it's washable and high-temp
00:39resistant, so you're not constantly buying replacements. It's a universal pre-filter
00:45that works great as a first line of defense in home water setups, and at that price, you could
00:49grab two and still be under $50. If you want cheap, reliable, and proven, this is your pick.
00:56Next, the 20-inch stainless steel filter housing with a 1-micron cartridge included.
01:02This one runs $67 and has moved over 4,200 units, also with a 5-star rating.
01:08The best feature here is that it comes with the filter element you're not hunting around
01:12for a matching cartridge. It handles 1, 5, and 10-micron options, so you can dial in your
01:18filtration depending on how nasty your wastewater is. For someone who wants a complete setup without
01:24the guesswork, this is a no-brainer. Third on the list is the 10-inch whole house
01:29spin-down sediment filter with backwash. Priced at $86.10, it's got over 4,000 sales and a 5-star
01:37rating. The standout here is the backwash feature, you just flip a valve and flush the gunk out,
01:42no disassembly, no mess. The stainless steel mesh lasts forever, and it's designed as a central
01:48pre-filter system, so it protects everything downstream. If you're tired of tearing apart
01:53housings to clean them, this spin-down design is worth every penny. Now, the 20x4.5-inch
02:00jumbo pre-filter housing. This is the big boy at $98.02, with almost 4,000 sold and a 4
02:07.3 rating.
02:08The jumbo size means you get way more surface area, so it doesn't clog as fast as those skinny 10
02:14-inch
02:14units. It also has a drain port, which makes flushing sediment a breeze. It's built for high
02:21flow applications, and if you're running a larger wastewater operation or just want longer
02:25stretches between cleanings, the extra capacity is absolutely worth it. And finally, the 20x4.5-inch
02:33stainless steel filter cartridge in 316 material. At $67, it's sold over 3,900 units with a perfect
02:415-star rating. This is the element itself, and the best part is the micron range, you can get
02:46anywhere from 1 micron all the way up to 100 microns, so it fits almost any housing on this list.
02:52The 316 stainless is more corrosion-resistant than 304, which matters big-time in wastewater.
02:59If you need a durable, customizable cartridge that won't rust out on you, this is the one.
