00:50and three minutes for the second intervention.

01:54This afternoon, the General Assembly heard some bizarre remarks
01:59from the representative of Pakistan.
02:02This happens just a fortnight after New York City
02:07and the world marked the 25th anniversary
02:10of the horrendous 9-11 terrorist attack.
02:14This context, Mr. President,
02:16is important to keep in mind
02:18because its mastermind, Osama bin Laden,
02:21was living right on the doorstep
02:24of Pakistani Army's premier academy.
02:27And this was the very entity
02:29which was the subject of such deep genuflection before us today
02:33by the representative of Pakistan.
02:36But all this is only to be expected
02:39from what Pakistanis themselves call a Form 47 government.
02:45We heard some hypocritical homilies
02:48about democratic rights and human values
02:51from a regime whose capital at this very moment
02:55is being fortified against its own people.
02:58And that, Mr. President, is happening
03:02because this is a regime of the army,
03:06by the army, and for the army.
03:10Their puppets may come and go,
03:11but let us have no illusion who calls the shots.
03:15The reality of Pakistan is expressed in its 27th Amendment
03:21and the lifelong immunity granted to its real ruler.
03:25Mr. President, the views we heard
03:28emanate from those with a long record of bigotry and hatred.
03:34They claim to uphold security during the day.
03:38They actually carry out terrorism at night.
03:41This assembly was subjected to remarks
03:44about religious intolerance from the very regime
03:48whose mainstay is blasphemy laws.
03:51The world knows how minorities are treated in Pakistan.
03:56No pious platitude can mislead it.
04:00References were made to the Indian Union territory
04:03of Jammu and Kashmir.
04:05This is an integral and inalienable part of my country
04:10and will always remain so.
04:12But if we must talk about Kashmir,
04:15let us turn our attention to the Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
04:18Ask the people of Rawalcoat about the wanton killings,
04:22the brutal violence,
04:24and the denial of basic rights
04:26that they have long experienced.
04:29At the heart of the issue, Mr. President,
04:32is the long-standing practice
04:34of cross-border terrorism by Pakistan.
04:38We demonstrated last year
04:39that terrorists will have nowhere to run
04:43and nowhere to hide.
04:44Our right to defend ourselves against terrorism
04:48will be exercised,
04:49and continued terrorism by Pakistan
04:52will have consequences.
04:54It will understandably call into question
04:57what were premised on friendship and goodwill.
05:00We are confident that this assembly
05:03will recognize Pakistan and its policies
05:06for what they really are,
05:08not what its representative
05:10mendaciously projects it to be.
05:12Reiterating falsehoods year after year
05:15does not make them true.
05:18Pakistan's terrorism, deceit, and duplicity
05:22will neither benefit it nor the world.
05:24I thank you, Mr. President.

05:39My delegation is compelled to respond to a state
05:42that has elevated propaganda into statecraft,
05:46embraced disinformation as diplomacy,
05:49exports terrorism as an instrument of policy,
05:53pursues hegemony as a regional strategy,
05:57mainstreams Islamophobia and Hindutua ideology.
06:01Let me present the extraordinary balance sheet
06:04of today's incredibly intolerant India.
06:07It exports terrorism and violence
06:09while trying to import victimhood and sympathy.
06:13Pakistan knows the cost of Indian-sponsored terrorism
06:17all too well.
06:18Since the turn of the century,
06:20Pakistan has lost nearly 100,000 lives to terrorism,
06:25generations, cards, and billions of dollars
06:27drained from our economy.
06:29Pakistan's counterterrorism efforts and sacrifices
06:33have been well recognized by the international community.
06:36We have also presented the international community
06:40extensive evidence of India's financing,
06:44aiding, and abetting of terrorist groups
06:46targeting Pakistani civilians,
06:48including TTP, BLA, and Majeed Brigade.
06:51Yet, despite its endless lectures to others on terrorism,
06:56we are still awaiting to hear India unequivocally condemn
07:00the terrorist attacks that kill innocent Pakistani civilians.
07:04But how can we expect India to condemn its proxies?
07:09India's terrorist exports have gone from regional to global.
07:14From a serving Indian naval commander,
07:17Kulbhishan Jadav, convicted in Pakistan
07:20on terrorism and espionage charges to Nikol Gupta,
07:24who pleaded guilty in the United States
07:26for plotting murder of a Sikh leader
07:29at the hands of its government
07:32and other implicated in assassination carried out in Canada,
07:38India's record speaks for itself.
07:41Turning over to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute,
07:44Jammu and Kashmir never was, neither is,
07:48nor will ever be integral part of India.
07:52It is an internationally recognized disputed territory,
07:56a huge part of which is under India's forcible
08:00and illegal occupation for nearly eight decades
08:03against the wishes of the Kashmiri people
08:05and in gross violation of international law
08:08and numerous resolutions of the Security Council.
08:14The contrast between Azad Jammu and Kashmir
08:17and Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir
08:19could not be more stark.
08:21In AJK, Kashmiris enjoy rights,
08:23participate in political life
08:25and have the freedom to express their opinions.
08:28While in occupied Kashmir,
08:31they endure decades of occupation,
08:33repression and denial of their fundamental right,
08:36including their right to self-determination.
08:39Rights exercise cannot be equated with rights denied.
08:44Mr. President, the ruling RSS-BJP dispensation in India
08:48has institutionalized Hindutva ideology
08:51in state policy and practice
08:53and unleashed a reign of terror against minorities.
08:56Muslims are demonized,
08:58Christians persecuted,
09:00Dalits dehumanized,
09:02and Sikhs disenfranchised
09:03in the largest hypocrisy of the world.
09:06Massacre of Muslims in Gujarat and Delhi
09:09under state patronage,
09:11calls for genocide of Muslims,
09:13Islamophobic rhetoric by politicians
09:15are just a few examples of the Hindutva ideology.
09:20Mr. President,
09:21by so-called holding in abeyance
09:24of the Indus Waters Treaty
09:25and blatantly disregarding
09:28its international legal obligation,
09:30including the sanctity of treaties,
09:32India has stooped to a new law
09:35of weaponizing water,
09:36a lifeline for 240 million people of Pakistan's.
09:41Its false narratives and disinformation
09:44could not hide the crushing defeat
09:46it suffered at Pakistan's hand
09:48during Markai Haq in May 2025.
09:52It is well recognized
09:53by the international community
09:55that India lost more than a military conflict.
09:59It lost its credibility forever.
10:02Today, it can no longer import sympathy
10:06and stance exposed in front of the world.
10:09As stated by my Prime Minister,
10:11Pakistan remains steadfast
10:13in its pursuit of peace,
10:15mutual respect, dialogue,
10:17and the peaceful settlement of disputes
10:19in our region and beyond.
10:22A commitment reflected in our consistent role
10:25as a peacemaker, mediator,
10:27and bridge builder around the world.
10:30We will defend ourselves
10:31whenever aggression is imposed upon us,
10:34but we will never abandon the path to peace,
10:38for lasting strength lies
10:39not in the wars a nation can fight,
10:43but in peace.
