00:00Atlus is gone. Yep, the abandoned gem and shepherd that had gone mega viral after I found him by the
00:05side of the road has finally moved on to his new home.
00:09Last week we made the five-hour cross-country trip to drop him off at his new family's place and
00:13honestly it was so bittersweet.
00:15He spent six weeks living with me and I fell in love with him. Of course, how could you not?
00:20But I know that he's about to start a new life.
00:23There is a catch. There are cats in this new home and it remains to be seen whether Atlus can
00:26get along with them.
00:27For now, he's been busy making new friends, trying on new kinds of foods and of course enjoying couch privileges.
00:34Over the next few weeks, the plan is to get him evaluated for surgery with a leading orthopedic surgeon here
00:38in Poland,
00:39to get him socialized and trained and to get him used to living in an actual house and in the
00:43city.
00:44These are all things that I wasn't able to give him because I live pretty remotely high up in the
00:48mountains.
00:48I can't say whether this will be his forever home. I hope so, but time will tell.
00:52What I do know is that he's staying with a family that loves him very much and is really doing
00:56their best to give him a shot at a better life.
00:58So keep your fingers crossed for this beautiful, brave boy who, as it turns out, really loves the couch.
