00:05Netanyahu delivers his speech to the meeting of world leaders. In a speech Thursday, September 24,
00:10Netanyahu defended Israel's action and sought to counter growing international isolation ahead of
00:15elections he could lose. He also used his speech to berate New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani for
00:21calling him a war criminal. Mamdani campaigned for office on a promise to have Netanyahu arrested
00:26for alleged war crimes should he visit New York City. Mamdani later said he realized he lacked
00:31the legal authority to do so. Several hundred protesters also gathered near the United Nations
00:36with dozens blocking traffic and chanting, stop arming Israel, let Gaza live, and stop arming
00:42Israel, let Iran live. Al Jazeera reports more than 100 of the demonstrators were arrested.
