00:34Let's talk about the show, though.
00:35We join you at a really pivotal time in your careers, Killeen, with this huge, big, kind
00:39of, Primark project.
00:42Wayne's sort of stepping away from the, kind of, the day-to-day aspects of football, going
00:46into punditry and that podcasting.
00:47How much has the last 12 months really, like, changed course for you guys?
00:51I think the biggest thing was having Wayne around the house a lot more, and in our,
00:57our family routine, because over the years he's lived away at, or, you know, the football's
01:04took up a lot of his time, so I think for me to get that, you know, the balance of
01:09having
01:09them around and, you know, having them do our, you know, family routine on a, on a regular,
01:16on a daily basis, I think that was, that was tough.
01:19Erm, but then also with me was juggling, going back to work and, you know, being, being a
01:27mum as well.
01:29Erm, so yeah, I think that, for me, that's been the, the biggest change and I do feel
01:33like now, at the end of it, we are, we've got a really good balance.
01:38And to have worked, worked it out, you know, erm, and also it's just, it creates a more
01:43happier household as well.
01:45Colleen's story of this is, is finding this kind of inner voice and inner confidence that
01:49you, you hadn't, like, shown the world quite so much before, maybe not even shown yourself
01:53in the same way, er, and Wayne, you're kind of, you've been this hugely famous person for
01:59so long, but there's only so much you can, you've, like, shown the world in the past, but
02:04over the last 12 months, you've had to bear much more of yourself than you ever have before,
02:07so do you see yourselves as fundamentally altered people now, 12 months later?
02:12No, I think the same people as we were growing up, and kids, and obviously, a lot more, erm,
02:20to deal with, obviously, with the, the kids and, erm, but we've been used to being in the
02:25public eye, but then, in terms of, as you said, letting the cameras in, that is really
02:29different for us, and, erm, and then, when you, when we were looking at it, and I was
02:36like, I weren't worried at all of them, being honest, because, I know, what, what we'd want
02:41it to come over as, is, is, is real and relatable, erm, and I think it, it certainly does that,
02:46and, so, it, it's, it's, it's not the same people, I think a little bit different, but, erm,
02:51the same as, as we were, the models we have growing up are still there, which we try and
02:55put it to our kids as well, and, erm, I think that shows.
02:58No, I think life, life changes and, and different, erm, it, that's, that's just normal, but I've
03:05always said, you know, from when we first got into the public eye, we are, you know, we're,
03:11we're still the same people, but, you know, we're living in this extraordinary world, you
03:16know, what we, the challenges we have to put up with, but then also the opportunities, amazing
03:23opportunities we get given as well, but what we do is we, we've got, like, our, our circle
03:28of, you know, close people that we've had from the beginning and are still there today, and
03:34I think that's where, you know, we, we, we've got good support and they keep us ground as
03:38our kids keep us ground, you know, each other, so, erm, along the, the, the, over the years,
03:45people have said, you know, people looking in, say, oh, have they changed? But we haven't
03:50changed, people towards us have changed, and I think that's a big thing, it, with people
03:55in the public eye, they do get them, people that think, oh, who do they think they are?
04:00We don't take care of anyone, but they think that, we think that, so, I think that's where
04:05people get, get it wrong.
04:06Being in the public eye for so long, did this make you more nervous because it's so much
04:12more open and you're welcoming people into your, like, safe space, or were you actually
04:15a bit more chill with it because you, you know, this is your, like, castle, is your people,
04:20is it your family, and you're kind of, it's on your own terms in a way?
04:23Yeah, well, I was more nervous when, I didn't know the cameras were filming the bedroom door
04:27when I was still there, so, yeah, they did expose me there, but, erm, no, listen, as I said,
04:34I think it's, to let them in, we know what to expect, I think, so, if we didn't feel we
04:41were ready for that, to, to let cameras in and, and see us, as, as husband and wife, as, as
04:47parents, then we wouldn't have done it, and so, I think, the big thing for us is really,
04:53come, we just, we just had who we are, and, like, I've said all the time, you know, like,
04:58you know, you don't, it doesn't really bother me.
04:59Yeah, if you don't, you don't watch it, you know, like, you're simple as.
05:02But I think we've both done documentaries, so there were snippets of family life in that,
05:07and that was the biggest thing that people commented on was, oh, we want to see more of your,
05:12you know, your family and use with the kids, and, and it's cause people can relate to it,
05:17and that's why it's, you know, it's reality TV, but going in the jungle for me as well,
05:21I didn't know what was getting aired every night, I didn't know, so I, that was a big thing for
05:25me to
05:26expose myself as well, so I think having done them things in the past has helped me let the cameras
05:34in,
05:35and, you know, we live in a world now where you don't have to be in the public eye to
05:41expose yourself,
05:42people do it all over social media now, and it's a normal thing,
05:45whereas back in the day when we were in the press, you had to read about it, you didn't see
05:49it,
05:50and, like, The Osborns was, was a show where you would, like, think, oh my goodness, they're opening the doors,
05:56and it was a massive thing, whereas I feel like it's a bit more, it's a bit more normal now.
06:00There's moments in the show where, obviously, we're joking around the kids, just me and Colleen arguing,
06:08but then there's really intimate moments as well where we're having conversations with Kai, for instance,
06:13about his football, he's a bit worried if he's going to get a scholarship at Manchester United,
06:17does he get released, how does he move forward and stuff like that, so there's intimate moments with each of
06:23the kids,
06:24just in terms of us, how do we deal with it as a parent, so that's where you're showing everyone
06:32how you're approaching your child's life.
06:35We were lucky that we were given, you know, we'd done it over a year, so it was, there was
06:39a story told throughout, you know, there was,
06:41it wasn't just, you know, at home, there was moments in there, so I think that, for me, it tells
06:49us, it tells a story of our journey throughout that year.
06:53Well, I've got to wrap, but very quickly, we're a kind of film and entertainment platform, so in a way
06:59for people to get to know you guys a little bit better,
07:00which we don't see as much in the show, I want to kind of a combined top five of movies
07:05that you guys would watch,
07:06because me and my missus, we'd argue over every single thing, but I wondered if you could actually get a
07:10list of five movies you could agree to watch together,
07:13maybe five TV shows.
