Pakistan’s authorities are deploying containers, sandbags and other barriers while closing major routes ahead of the planned PTI march toward Islamabad on September 27. The Islamabad–Peshawar M-1, M-14 and sections of the GT Road are being closed to traffic.
Videos circulating online show containers being filled with dirt or sand and positioned as roadblocks. Reports say more than 2,000 containers have been deployed around Islamabad and Attock as security preparations intensify.
