00:00So I just dropped a song that talks about the growing epidemic of loneliness that things like
00:04only fans and x-rated content on the internet is creating for young men. The song is a journey
00:08about taking back control of your life in a world full of distractions. Billions of dollars are spent
00:12by these major corporations on algorithms and content just to hold your attention for three
00:17seconds at a time. And besides corporations, even just everyday people are doing things on the
00:21internet they wouldn't normally do just to get your attention because it makes them money. In a
00:25world that's become an attention economy where your eyeballs equal dollars, your ability to
00:29control, where you put your focus is everything. This is exactly what the song and music video for
00:33control are all about. In the first verse, I kind of discuss the epidemic of loneliness that's created
00:38with stuff like only fans and x-rated content and a young man's journey through battling kind of that
00:43type of content pulling at him and his attention. I wanted to write about this because I see a lot
00:47of young men disappointed and annoyed by the fact that an only fans model can make 50 times the
00:51amount they can make doing honest work. And then I see women saying, well, it's the fault of the
00:55thousands of men paying for it. Look, in my opinion, both sides are in the wrong. If it were drugs
00:59for
00:59example, you would arrest the people using the drugs, but you'd also arrest the people dealing
01:02the drugs. And the people dealing the drugs might even get more time because of their potential to
01:05harm more individuals. This kind of like blame game finger pointing is causing a lot of division
01:10amongst young men and young women. So it's a problem on both sides. But for this song, I have chosen
01:14to
01:14speak to the men. So that's ultimately what the first verse is all about shedding light on this
01:18epidemic, this problem. And if there are any young men who are struggling out there with this,
01:22and they hear this song, hopefully I can help them get focused, get their attention back and get back on
01:26track
01:26to living a meaningful and goal oriented and motivated kind of life. The second verse then
01:31dives into other things that can distract you such as substances or even friends. You're the average
01:35of the five people you spend the most time with. So you want to make sure you choose your friends
01:38wisely and you leave anyone who's a bad influence in the past. Look, we've all gotten into bad habits
01:42before, made poor choices, made poor friends, etc. But this song is all about reflecting on them,
01:47disassociating from them and moving towards taking back control of your life. So all in all,
01:50I hope this song inspires and motivates people to take back control of their life, get focused, get their attention
01:55off their phones,
01:56social media, all this stuff, and get back to doing the things they truly want in life.
